Garry was right. He kept saying he isn't leaving.

Laughing at all the filth fans who say trac is trapped & doesn't want to be there. They thought they had him in the bag.

How annoyed would McClure & morris be they weren't on air to announce this news.

I unfollowed his cooking instagram and an hour later he re-committed himself to the club. You’re all welcome, I’m gonna follow it again now.

He's on there now making a big club sandwich.

Just gotta love these people🤣🤣🤣" I have actual sources. I work in the field". Side splittingly hilarious! Go on, supply those sources. Of course you can't.Like McClure, Morris etc you have none. Meantime I have a source that says you're a Collingwood plant on these boards. Sorry, can't reveal who that is.😘

Mate you’ve been here 5 months. Go take a hike or put me on ignore. I give negative [censored] about what you do or don’t believe.

The point I’m making, which you’ve completely missed in your ramblings, is that the truth doesn’t matter only perception matters.

I said plenty of times before that we have no more or no less issues than any other club. What we do have, is an inability to control the narrative.
It is damaging to be in the news constantly for all the wrong reasons.

I too believe we can bounce back next year, but we have work to do in all areas to get there and that includes our comms. Don’t believe me? Listen to Gawn discuss this very issue yesterday.

Your perception buddy. Not us true supporters.

If you think this has not harmed our brand and the perception people have of our club, you’re an absolute fool and you don’t understand anything about the importance of brand management.

Anytime your club is in the news for failing to manage a star player, whether true or not, it is damaging. It creates a perception that we are poorly run and have a poor culture.

Bury your head in the sand all you like, but the bottom line is, this club has been in the news for all the wrong reasons over the past 12 months and that is not good for sponsors, membership numbers or attracting players from other clubs.

Yep, there are better ways to get the club to improve than the way this was dealt with.

But happy father's day, Adam.

Okay I have two hypothetical questions that relate to this Trac situation:

Can an AFL player retire to end a contract then take a year off and be signed by another team?

What happens if a marquee player on big dollars decides to take the P1,55 for a year and sit on their backside and barely try in the AFL or VFL side?  Are there performance clauses that can reduce their entitlements etc?

I don't understand why people are blaming the leaks and mfc brand damage on Christian and his advisors.

It means you believe the Morris/McClure trash ... if we believe them we need to believe reports the club/players leaked and ipso facto they have also damaged the club's 'brand'.

Lets face it the damage to our brand started 12 months ago when other players' poor behaviour was front and sent in the media and is where the poor culture narrative started.  The brand damage continued thru 2024 as did the associated poor culture narrative.

The Christian drama has been sorted in 3 weeks.  The dramas and brand damage by others of 12 months are still not fully resolved.

Stop blaming him for the club's image woes!!!

I hope all the supporters in this thread who threw the baby out with the bathwater realise they got badly manipulated by scum media and wrap their arms around our Norm Smith winning premiership player.

So if we listen to direct sources, not much happened. Players, coaches, administrative staff have been having conversations about getting better. Pretty standard end of season talking points.

if we listen to the media, everything happened, the sky is falling and the club is a cesspool of sub human types with bad intentions and they are bad at their jobs.

I like that the club took its time and wasn’t playing the media’s game or working to their schedule. I’m sure some staff will move on from the club over the off season and that’s probably for the best. Some renewal is always necessary. It’s impossible to gauge how serious this was based only on listening to media speculation.

why is it we all know the media are full of [censored] yet when they talk about us so many can’t help but try and read the tea leaves without realising the tea leaves are manufactured and those discussed are caricatures not necessarily built on reality.

No answers, no sources, no nothing. You don't care what I believe but have taken time to respond to me in detail more than once. Waiting for the apology to Christian and oh, of course, those 'sources'. Hahaha!😃

Not sure what to make of this. I’m very happy that Trac is staying however it’s fairly obvious why. He wanted to go to the pies or blues. Pies was never going to happen and the blues weren’t going to part ways with Curnow or McKay. Whilst the last few weeks have been an absolute head [censored], at least it’s highlighted that there are issues at the MFC. Max confirmed this himself (said he agreed with some of the concerns that Trac raised). Hopefully this will result in some change for the better. There is still so much that this playing group can achieve and Trac us a big part of it. Bring in pick 5, one or two new assistants, a clean preseason and 2025 could be a ripper for the MFC.

Go Dees. Pumped for next year!

Oh BTW, Sam and Tom, go eat a big fat D.

You’re welcome to DM me but Demonland has asked time and time again not to name certain people in public.

I have nothing to apologize for. He is a great player and I’m glad he’s staying. Just because I don’t like how he’s gone about it doesn’t mean I don’t want him sticking around and helping us get better and back into contention.

Would've preferred he left after crying like a baby in public for 2 weeks and dragging our club through the mud to appease his own agenda.

I have absolutely no doubt he's been advised he can't get to C & C so he has to stay with us.

If the Pies had 2 top 10 picks to give us,he'd be there in a Heartbeat!!!

Losing Kozzie would hurt more than Trac

5 year contracts are a real sobering thing…

In all seriousness - some on here will not like it - but we have to have a talk about the captaincy for 2025.

I am not saying there isn’t work to be done but I have been saying for 3 years now that CP5 is the next captain. I want to hold to it.

Trac could have had all the "robust discussion" etc etc he wanted, but still kept it in house. I'm sure plenty of the players have opinions on what we should be doing better/differently, but only one of them turned it into a media circus.

The one tiny mitigating factor here is that he's still in trauma following his horrific injury and is probably not in a great place mentally (which he has admitted). Still ...

Reminds me of the "robust, full and frank exchanges" we used to have in the right wing factional meeting of the Queanbeyan branch of the Labor party. It was the second Monday of the month in the basement of the Queanbeyan Library. Someone generally left with a broken nose.
