The reality with Trac, he is a ‘brand’ and his fiancé is his marketing brand manager. They need to maximise every opportunity possible. The MFC put brand CP5 into jeopardy. The magnitude of the situation is still not known. I really hope all parties can get him going again and event get his buttery fingers working (🎣)

I hope he comes out and says something. The messaging “he is contracted for 5 year he’s not going anywhere” sounds really [censored] from the club.

There must be a fair bit of junk happening at the club, I just hope that it can all be cleaned up. I don’t want to go back to the dark old days😔

This self interest protection aligns to the rumour I’ve also heard. It doesn’t paint Trac in a good light. It says more about where his interests lie as opposed to something the club is doing wrong.

Yeah that was not a polished performance. Gawn is usually quite straight down the bat, but his whole demeanor wasn’t great.
He seems annoyed. Maybe he is just annoyed at having to deal with more fires.

Gawn left to deal with all the [censored] once again.

Max has looked grumpy and frustrated most of the season. Not the laconic ebullient positivity of past seasons

He’d be terrible at poker because you could see right through that.

I’m in strong dialogue with Trac and I’m in preliminary discussions… oh dear - corporate speak.

Angus brayshaw was the cultural glue, let’s not underestimate that.

Wasn’t too bad. Max saying “we’re all relatively unhappy at this point” seemed to me to be an effort to show camaraderie with Trac. And why shouldn’t there be camaraderie? After all it’s entirely possible (I say, likely) that Trac’s issues with the club are shared by several other players

It’s giving “I worked on this group assignment alone and you all enjoyed the grades” vibes.

I am sure Max is fed up with having to carry the team and then defend it in the media.

Edit: I understand it’s totally up to Gus and how he’s feeling physically and mentally, but I would move heaven and earth to get him back to the club in an off field role.

Let me just remind posters not to character assassinate people with unsubstantiated rumours.

Was going to point out to that poster that Oliver did not attend the Anglesea camp.

But your approach was far more effective.

Agreed but given that's the case why not such down this thread? The club has made a categoric statement. What more do you need? Topic over just like pre game each week.

Agreed. Let’s keep it non-Tom Morris

I swear that if I hear a singular peep from this club between December 2024 and March 2025, I will burn the joint down.
Go train in an underground bunker in Siberia. Make silence your friend.

What an exhausting 12 months it’s been

I’ve had enough of 2024 and the constant negativity with player unrest or issues.

Would be great to hear some positive news from the club over the offseason that can generate some excitement heading into next season.

I mean, it’s a little unrealistic to expect people on this forum to remain quiet while it’s on several TV programs and the members have just received an email from the club.

Sure, it’s mostly hearsay. But as long as it refrains from baseless disparaging of individuals, it’s otherwise completely expected.

Gossip is an important part of a healthy society, don’t you know.

I can't simply silence every discussion that makes people uncomfortable.

Earlier this year, we had to shut down discussions about Clarry, Joel, and the board issues for legal reasons. Those topics deserved attention, but some individuals either couldn't or wouldn't follow the rules, forcing us to close all discussion.

I don't want to take that route here for now but will monitor the situation.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
