I had fully intended to attend tonight's match.

However, I am instead going to a celebration of life event for Bonnie the cat, who passed away a few days ago at the age of 18. Her owner (a Demons supporter) and her family are heartbroken. I hope that is a good enough excuse.

C'mon Dees ... do it for Bonnie!

What does one do for a cat Funeral? That's a new one

That's a very good question.  I have a similar query.

I'm attending the funeral of a bloke next week who was a fanatical golfer.

Would it be appropriate, as the coffin is being lowered into the grave, to yell out "Get in the hole!"?

Not good at all. There are always other players who are affected, even without realising it.

Still on train. At one point I was outnumbered by Port fans. No other Dees in sight but a few more since Bentleigh.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
