This is the first match I’ll be watching at home in over two years. Perth and Alice are the only games I don’t/can’t attend, and those matches I usually watch at the Sporting Globe or similar with the DA. I’d forgotten how antsy I get watching the Dees on my own at home… this won’t be pretty.

What I DO remember is to give the GameDay thread a very wide berth from the opening bounce coz Demonland 😑

See y’all in the post-match and Joeboy’s player analysis 👋

Unless of course there’s an upset, in which case… see y’all around about the middle of next week 😁

I hope they are all sitting in the rooms pre-game watching the 2021 Grand Final at their home away from home

And they come out firing. 6g to 1g in the 1st qtr would be good.

I don't.  They'll think winning is easy.

The last game just reaffirms that you cannot take any opposition for granted.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
