Just popping in to express my extreme hatred for ticketek

The most frustrating thing is when you're just about to pay and it times you out.

Without being difficult, I've never understood how people allow the timer to run down to the point where you get timed out during a payment.

If you have 7 minutes, surely that gives you at least 4 minutes to choose your seats and more than enough time to enter your card details?

You obviously haven’t seen my wife in action when it comes to all or anything remotely related to computers or mobile phones.

I get tickets with a 71 year old and if he gets in first he buys them for us and has no problems.

people just have to be willing to learn how to use it

Bravo for him but it seems many people have problems

75%+ of The MCC reserved seats would have been taken up my Melbourne supporters.
I got in at 10:02 and it was already selling really well, no surprises that by 10:10’it was single seats only on level 1.

was the same for the afl reserve.

I had 3 devices going, got in on my phone first on 4G about 2:08pm I reckon. Was surprised to be able to get 9 tickets in M18 so I'll be representing amongst the scum and villainy in the AFL members. Will make it all the more sweet if we can knock them off, we bloody owe them (more than 1)!

Ye it seemed like because they didn’t allow guest passes on level 1 that it allowed for most members that wanted level 1 to get level 1.

Was amazing how fast level 4 sold because that was where the guests went.

hope you make lots of noise in M18, I’m planning on rustling some feathers in the MCC with some proper barracking.

The only people who have problems are the people who vent their frustrations here or on various forums.

Just like anything else in life, you don’t hear from the people that don’t have problems so it just seems like everything is bad

Good idea not to let guest passes on level 1 but probably should look at disallowing them on the initial sale altogether!

Don't worry I always make plenty of noise against the Pies, it's in my DNA. Even as a kid my dad tried to stop me singing Grand Old Flag walking out of Vic Park after Jakovich booted 7 and cost the Pies the minor premiership. I sung it all the way back to Hoddle St and got plenty of dirty looks along the way.

Ticketek is an ordinary site. Just last week kids were trying to buy tickets for some popular singer and the site kept crashing. People can't even get in or buy footy tickets when some popular kids singer comes to town and tix go on sale. They need to lift their game big time do ticketek. They are making an absolute mozza with fees and shiit and simply have to be better.

My sister is a 31 yr old school teacher and she couldn’t figure out how to buy a GA ticket. I literally had to screen shot it for her Ste by step. S school teachers make me worry sometimes

Some popular singer lol. Olivia Rodrigo is massive currently, but everyone I know who wanted tickets got tickets.

The website is archaic and isn't good at all, but I maintain, you just have to learn how to use it because it isn't going to be changing any time soon.

The fees are are a separate nonsense, but we have it better than most. $7.70 for servicing fees at Adelaide oval on top of $120 tickets.

You clearly missed out on the ticketek shenanigans that that country bumpkin Taylor Swifty or something caused.

Trust me, i have 4 kids and i didn't miss out on the fun of trying to get tickets to Tay Tay.

That was like lockdown all over again, no one on the roads, schools or playgrounds.

@WalkingCivilWar, has Collingwood confirmed if we have all of M3?

They gave us a generous allocation (compared to tight-arzes Richmond and Carlton) and we’ve (the DA) bought the rest of the bay. So yes, it’s all ours.

Me too. Totally confused by that interweb thingy.

This includes anyone who holds an AFL or club membership by the way, your credit card details on file.

Yep, they're owned by live nation. A Us and Saudi owned conglomerate.

I'm sure they'll be sensitive and remorseful for what's happened and will be compensating their customers generously.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
