Now THAT was a build-up!

Ch.7 and confected footy drama: Peerless.

crows need to get a grip or this could get ugly. Ball coming in way too easily

why is this review taking so long. blind freddie could tell the ball has crossed the line.

The time to complete a score review is honestly a farce.

Honestly that is a lot better than many would have feared. He looked in a very bad way when they showed a glimpse of him waiting to be loaded into the ambulance. Absolutely stone-faced.

Feels like it has been a rubbish start to the season for injuries.

Collarbone hurts like hell, but fixes well, mine looked like chips from a woodchop competition #motorbike #abruzzo #[1diot]

The Crows look like they're going to have a Fremantle 2023 year - one step backward to go two steps forward (remains to be seen if they can do that).

wow for a medium fwd Fritsch is terrific. If he didn’t get injured last year he could top that list!

Should we get a couple more cameras and just get rid of goal umps?

it’s a long game. Cats will fade. they have almost no midfield

Crows will come good

Most of the reviews so far this season have been about behinds and no scores.

The whole goal review concept needs to just go in the bin. I honestly couldn't give a rats if there are a few human errors from the goal umpires. It's a human game - let them make their in-the-moment decision and get rid of all the complexity that goes along with the review system.

Geeeeepers I love Fritta and everything he does, but I think maybe even I take him for granted! Genuine A-Grader in our forward line.

I didn't get all the pre season talk about Crows being contenders.

They may get up tonight but they don't look convincing to me.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
