All aboard the reality bus!

I can't make up my mind and the only cheap seats are on the grassy hill - does anyone know if that is Hillbilly Hill at the Adelaide Oval?

I would love to see us fix up Port as I do with any oppo!

Have they changed much?

I could tell you about a bus trip to Sydney in the late 80s organised by the cheer squad but it would most likely be my last post on DL

If that is the area behind the goals it’s fine.I sat there

2 years ago when we beat Port.

Just got a seat for $75 to sit in the nose bleeds behind the goals at the river end.

Free for MFC members or $35 for the same seat Vs Adelaide in Gather Round 5 days later.

Stupid question, but what does a GA ticket cost at the G this year.  My tickets are also behind the goals at the river end for my family and in my opinion ticket prices are way too expensive in Adelaide.

Late 70’s and I would have been on that bus

Not worth the price, but convenient, comfortable and near facilities and bar/food/vendor-outlets and dunnies (although the latter have been well-hidden in the past). Lots of afternoon sun this time of the year, looking down the ground to the north-west. No, it's not the Southern Stand (MCG) by any means, but still good for individual occupation. Quieter, too, amid a stadium surrounded by the thousands of biased, overly-sensitive and thus rampantly noisy Port supporters with Crows supporters coming a close second. When we play there, Demon supporters tend to assemble providing a civilized collective of applauding reasonableness, good taste, civility and manners, and appreciative wins (depending on the umpires' moods and intents across the game).

GA is around $27 at the MCG.

$75 is absolutely expensive for a run of the mill home and away game.

Take your family of four with no concessions, parking and snacks and booze and you'd be lucky to be under 400 bucks.

Sheesh

There are 5 of us, $268, for one game of footy and we are in the cheapest seats you can buy to reserve a seat.  I really think that 15 and 16 year olds should be included in the family ticket.

But when all is said and done, I will enjoy every minute of being there.

Is the Karma Bus still running? Probably gets you there at half-time.

Tonight will be my 4th time at Adelaide Oval for an AFL game. It is a terrific place to watch footy. I love coming over here.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
