Couldn’t find anywhere else to post this but just watching Olympic diving and thought maybe the MRO and aFL and media sycophants are watching to see that Maynard could have altered his body position even though he was in the air.

If 2024 went smoothly:

Top line AFL, Bottom line Casey

FB:  McVee  May  Salem

    Howes  Schache  Hore

HB:  Rivers  Turner  Lever

      AMW  TMac  Tomlinson

C:  Windsor  Viney  Langdon

  Billings  Sestan  Hunter

HF:  ANB  Petty  Chandler

   Kolt  Jefferson  Spargo

FF:  Kossie  JVR  Fritsch

  McAdam  Brown  Fullerton

Mid:  Gawn  Petracca  Oliver

  Verral  Laurie  Brown

Bench:  Brayshaw, Bowey, Sparrow, Melksham, Smith(Sub)

Woewodin, Adams, Turner

Just shows how injuries on top of losing 3 players (Brayshaw, Smith & Spargo) that are either beast 22 or next in for their position without being able to replace them makes a huge difference.

This Casey team woukd be very competitive and if all together and fit would provide good back up for the AFL team

He’s the ultimate professional, so think it will be more mental for him

Tracc seems a very determined focussed professional young man - yes, he has had a near death experience, but perhaps Neitschke will be proven right - "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger".  Hope so anyway.

Injury List:  Round 23

Steven May — ribs / test
Clayton Oliver — knee, ribs / season
Caleb Windsor — ankle / season

You add those 5, fully fit, another preseason under their belts and a top 10 ready to go draft pick and look out, here we come.

He had an Achilles opp in mid July. He’s going to be busting a gut to get back to top fitness.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
