He may not be a star but the noise supporters made when he was near the ball was enormous and had a positive effect on the team. Its an interesting one and good pick up for Hawks for mine

I'm really interested to see how he is received by Hawthorn supporters.

Seems to have been well loved by Pies fans purely because he was so hated by everyone else.

Should be fascinating

So now I will be able to add Hawthorn to my most hated teams being the filth and Geelong.

I'm just as interested to see how the Colli-[censored] supporters react the first time he gets his trademark free against them in a Hawks geurnsey.

After all their carry on defending his knee dropping & shoulder raising, surely they wouldn't boo now, right?  😉

Well done and kudos to Pies and McCrae. One reason they will continue to be a power.

He was gone once he went to grand final eve races IMO. And his GF  game was underwhelming at least. Sad he's got a medal on the back of the Pies efforts.

Bit like Cam Mooneys first. But he was a champ and acknowledges this.

Obviously Pies went after Schultz so they could dump Ginnivan.

Never seen a media loved 'superstar' player fall out of favour so quickly and get the boot. He must of rubbed the coach and others the wrong way.

Interesting to see how  the Hawks handle him.

20 year old small forwards who kick 40 goals in a preliminary finals side and the following year play a role in a premiership don't grow on trees

he knows where the goals are but his defensive side is severely lackly

good get for the dorks i reckon

Really happy for Ginnivan, great to see someone get to their childhood club.

But really I'm just happy it's something to tick Pies fans off..

I just want to see him booed by the Pies fan. The irony will be delicious.

He is a tool and I wish him no success.

To be fair, the umpires have stuffed up this rule.

You don't get a head high when you duck, or cause it by lifting your arms, however a choke hold around the neck is a free and always has been.

The above is a free every day of the week.

Pretty sure Ginnivan made a terrible blunder and said publicily that ."its my job to play the umpires for free kicks"..

....in others words, umpires are blind and gullible.

The umps obviously caught feelings and retaliated next round and beyond.

The Pies fans getting stuck into him on social media is absolutely hilarious.
Last year they were worried about his mental health. Now he’s garbage and ducks his head for frees 🙄

Stay classy Pies.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
