God it would be amazing if they flop again

Bit tired of playing the Dogs early in the season.

The fixture seems increasingly fixed in boringly grey cement

No going to Mordor!! 🥳

Back to backs at Adelaide Oval but no trip to Geelong

With 5 day break no less…

Bye in Round 6 is good. Round 3 would have been better though, although 5 days break not too bad as team would most likely stay in Adelaide?

Don't jump the gun. They'll get us when Geelong are given the right to host a Preliminary Final against us.😅

Pies in Round 24 will be HUGE. Freo, Port and WCE twice is interesting.

i thought we had swans round 1?

The back to backs in Adelaide is the only downside

Yeah what a bizarre scheduling

Why make us have such a short break? I suppose we will stay over in between games, but it's still a big ask to back up against two good sides in such a short time.

ON THE PLUS SIDE, NO GEELONG IN GEELONG!!!!

7 interstate "away" matches, plus Alice Springs.

But we don't go to Tassie or Geelong.

Double ups against Pies, Lions, Port, Freo and West Coast, seems a supremely hard draw, with only WCE really expected to be a bottom fixture, and three of those teams being genuine top 4 chances.

I imagine we'll stay over.

Surely they will after last year's debacle.

Have to go no worse than 1-1 in the Adelaide oval double.

Our first game at the MCG in a final round since 2018.

Playing WC at the G for first time since 2014.

Away MCG games against Hawthorn, Collingwood, Carlton and Richmond which should total an excellent 14 MCG  games, 1 more than last year.

14 games at the G, most we have had there in forever. Double ups are fine, Port and the Dogs to slide hopefully, Freo and West coast are good and then need to match it with Collingwood and Brisbane.

Same amount of travel as 2023.

Gold Coast, not Darwin

On the crucial element of five-day breaks, only four teams – Adelaide, Melbourne, Richmond and St Kilda – have been handed two. Essendon, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Sydney and West Coast have escaped without any.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
