Mmmmm, worried now that Paxy's out....... 😟

Yeah, I thought of Paxy's importance when reading about the Crow's midfield - someone who might trouble them, or at least distract them from a concentration on TH.

Still, let's look forward to saying 'Silly us!' at about 5.30 on Saturday!

I am a bit surprised they dropped Campbell. Developing as a ruckman so I would keep playing her.

She got a reprieve last week with Harris injured...as I said then I reckon playing her has been a big part of Pearce's resurgence.

Maybe it's a longer term strategy but I like what she brings & would also keep playing her.

She’s a very good prospect. Can ruck. Athletic, agile, decent mark. Very solid start to her career with us.

maybe time for a refresh?

Agree and aside from physically, maybe a breather to process a huge amount of learning, ready for the back end of the season.

So true and so far beyond what I was expecting even based on the growing positives last VFLW season. Will be interesting to see how we go without her as the chop out for Pearce tomorrow. But even aside from how she helps the team structurally, it's a relief just to have a legitimate future ruck prospect in the works again.

I'm in the air between taipei and seoul for this one.    Hopefully we win.  Last time I was in the air for a game was the gather round. 🫥😐

going out to casey for the first time in a long, long time for this one

any tips for first time players?

Don’t wear a toupee 😳

There is only the one small grandstand and it's basically reserved for officials, player's families, etc., even us long term die-hard members who attend very game at that god forsaken place don't get in. 😆

It would be news to me, but if they say so maybe give it a try.  As long as they aren't charging more than the general admission $10.

oh, i'm packing the ski jacket for sure

on a serious note @WalkingCivilWar should i pre-purchase grandstand tickets?

Tickets are all general admission. $10 each. Can’t be bought at the gate. CAN be bought using this link

Yeah the lack of seating sucks. Everything about games at Casey sucks, imo anyways. Give me Ikon any day.

On a side topic, the doggies have declined at an alarming rate. Well beaten by Carlton last night.

From being the flagbearers and pioneers of women's footy with us and winning an early flag to being no wins from 6 this season. Looks like terrible mismanagement at the Whitten oval.

so there is literally no seating? my 73 year old mum is going to struggle

Arrived at the ground for my first game of the season! PUMPED! Let's go Demons!!

I need a comfortable win today, to (almost) erase the stresses and strains of the ‘uncomfortable’ lead-up to this game.  I think we will get it! Dees by around 4 goals.
I’d also love for us to keep our amazing sequence of ‘best ever in AFLW history’ performances in tact.  Go Dees, you can do it!

Think of it as a picnic.  Bring your own chair and picnic rug. Walk from the car to the gate is 2 minutes max

bad miss zanker

goldy playing well so far

colvin handballs putting her teammates in trouble. twice now

zanker a big influence. Crows can;t handle her

Great first quarter dees. We're so clean and fit, running two ways and outnumbering at both ends. Could have been even further in front.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
