I'm in the dog house myself after refraining from watching it for 2 quarters then pulling a sneak peak and then proceeding to yell and scream at the TV for the duration.

I cannot wait for this season to end.

I was still hoping Greene would mark the ball near the siren and kick it and ein it for them.

That point he missed, he just needed to kick it a bit higher or centre it.

Also I think Bedford has now realised what a prelim final is all about.

I really wish Mason Cox would get his comeuppance for a change after kicking a goal and sticking it to his opponent.

Forget the fact it's Collingwood, this team alone is extremely hard to like and they never seem to get put in their place, never.

To lose by 1 point in the most hostile environment imaginable is an amazing feat. Kudos to GWS.

Lions are vulnerable wthkut Payne down back. Tomorrow night we will see what McKay and Curnow will do to them.

Jeez the umpires are going to be screwed

do they call all collingwoods goals points after ARC reviews show them as goals? Or let Collingwood rip the heads of Carlton players and call HTB

What an epic conundrum for the afls centralised results gambling and planning department Erk sorry I can’t rub that out I meant totally 100% integrity department

I suppose Maynard knocking Cox out in friendly fire and the Pies losing by a point next week would be karma

Maynard and Cox clashing heads at training Thursday with concussion?

De Goey and umpiring the difference. Great effort GWS, we should take a page or two out of their textbook for next year, GWS deserved to win.

Could we take one (or a few) of their players instead. #23 for starters.

100% this

i simply can’t comprehend it

I like Pendlebury - fave oppo player. Admire Moore even though he’s clearly dealing meth or wants to be Pennywise. Steele Frontbum is a legend too. I even like Shooter McGinnivan

but why clubs let thug sorry victim Maynard and Cox go Scott free is beyond me

next year every club should have a player who spend the whole game needling these guys. Provoking. Pinching Etc

I’m watching the de Ronde vlan Vlanderan replay to take the edge off and it’s helping  . Cycling (and golf) seem better. My first road race in 13 years on Sunday and I am gonna burn some matches in anger

I saw a bunch of middle aged men in lycra riding their bikes this morning. Makes me cringe every single time, especially when they take up half the lane and I am stuck behind them. Please cover up gents, I really don't want to see your bits 🤣

Notice how not one (none that I noticed anyway, and if there were, apologies in advance) of the fake media were calling for Maynard to be rubbed out, all seemed to be supporting him when usually in a situation like that you see arguments for both sides... It's almost like the whole thing is run by a secret society, and if you speak out against their narrative there will be hell to pay...

Leigh Mathews was one of the only ones. Lauded as the most impartial figure in footy. Even though he was a thug in his playing days lol. He didn't go out of his way to press the issue though.

Stated his opinion and then disappeared into the background, while the motor mouth hot takers went about their business promoting Maynards cause.

He's not going to die on a hill for a Melbourne player. If it happened to one of the Lions mids though...

Bedford’s been a bit overrated this year if you ask me. Kicked 12.17 for the year and missed a crucial goal early in the 3rd qtr tonight which would’ve given GWS some much needed confidence and ascendancy.

Matthews Malthouse whateley all did

and brereton

whateley changed his tune once the afl diktat was issued

Brisbane will win tomorrow night right?

I mean they have a pretty handy forward line and could stretch the pies backline.

Why does cox have to go at the opposition like that. Just be happy to kick the goal.

How filthy do you reckon Gus would be tonight?

Oh yeah of course, spare a thought for Braydon Maynard. It's hard when you cave in a guy's face with a flying shoulder charge.

Lets just hope Brisbane get through tomorrow.

I'm more confident in them knocking off the pies.

Just a shame the big big sound is no longer.

If it happened to one of his Lions mids the rest of the team would have bashed Maynard there and then. Apart form Viney, our boys didn't really do much...

I dunno, even if Brisbane got through it'd gonna be hard. Don't want to watch it and get let down again, the stress bank account has taken a hit lately.

It was a tough week for Brayden

So which former pies player do you reckon they'll get to handover the cup?

The irony is McStay will most likely miss the big one against his former club

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
