I mentioned Hannaford a little while back if we wanted to grab a small fwd later on. Guessing his form is lifting him up the rankings now and recruiters will be reviewing his tapes after kicking 6 against the Falcons. He’s on a tear at the moment, but has been good all season after starting the season in defence.

The switch forward has seen him become a crucial cog in GWV’s run to the prelim, he’s really good one on one, has pace and is super competitive. Plays with real spark and one to watch come draft time.

Reminds me of Dylan Moore or Gryan Miers type. Good burst of pace.   Competitive.  Smart around goals.  Clubs could see him as a late draft pick or rookie.  Certainly his game v Falcons was very special and a key reason for the Rebels win.

with the premium on small forwards quite clear with the way football is being played currently, how high will he rise?

Hannaford might end up at West Coast.  He'd make the Eagles rock.  sorry

After everything you have said over the years, I can’t believe that we finally discovered a point at which you feel shame.

Thanks for Hannaford video Chaser J and yes based on that game he will definitely be drafted.

And given the rise of HokBall - he should be very much in JT's thinking.

He was a lot quieter today in the PF, but will be well worth a watch next week along with Jonty Faull in the GF.

Need to give JT at least 4 or 5 picks in this draft.  There is deep talent this year.  But we might only have 3 if we keep retaining the current list !!!

So true - but we really need to secure a couple more picks in the top 25. Assuming we get one from Adelaide from ANB, we need to be creative to get another from somewhere so we have 3 in that group of 25.

The differences are an indicator to both the evenness in the group and what the individual authors/sources place higher value on.

Good to see some difference in opinion with some clear rationale on why they rate players a certain way.

Definitely trade the future first for mine.

Sam Lalor… youngster from Bacchus Marsh, attending at Geelong Grammar.

We have to remind ourselves what a future star he will be.  Plays like ? … Dustin Martin. Huge call.

It’s a shame that’s he’s not going to be available in this week Grand Final for the Rebels v Sandy Dragons.

Really surprised that Luke Kennedy isn’t spoken about more as a bargain draft pick. Plays like Andrew Brayshaw.  Can win it close. Can run and spread.  Tackles.  Smart user of the footy. Has really showed his ability in last few games with 30+ possession games and impact. He’s alongside a star studded Dragons midfield but definitely holds his own.

Starred again v Stingrays alongside Reid and Ashcroft     Absolutely going a bargain pick in the draft.  Watch him in the GF.

Might just be me but I don't see it with Langford

Langford playing style is Bont like.  He is good overhead.  Creative handball.  Long left foot kick. Can kick a nice goal.  He is good at contested footy and in the tackle.  Though I watched him in the last games v power and v dragons and strangely he only had one tackle.  He seemed slow across more mobile mids which was strange.  Still he’s definitely top 5 imv.

Hamish Davis was Best on Ground in the Colts GF for Claremont.  I’m trying to get some vision. Obviously he’s rising up draft lists. I had him ranked about 28 (live pick “24”). Feels about right.

Davis really dominated in the second half after a quiet first half. Swans mids just couldn’t go with him, endurance beast just kept getting involved in transition chains and winning clearances. Had 11 possessions in the last quarter

Boxshall was dominant up to 3 quarter time. Won the hard ball and clean disposal by hand in close and won plenty of clearances. Riddle broke even with smith in the hit outs but prominent around the ground with intercept marks and also won plenty of clearances.

Ravenhill was probably the best big man on the ground playing the forward ruck role. Presented high up the ground as hit up option and delivery inside 50 by foot was good. Kicked 3 and created a few for teammates

Will Hayes really good run off a wing. Clean groundball gets, great lateral movement and disposal was very good.

Blake Kelly probably Swans best played on ball, super clean and quick hands and really composed in close

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
