How happy was Markov getting a spoil on the ball there. Pies secret is happiness and playing for each other it seems. FMD.

Moore’s kicking is his weakness. Force him long down the line and he often gives it back.

True. but i still reckon he’s the best tall back in the game this year

I have no idea why anyone thinks Collingwood are "far and away" the best side in the competition.

2 of their 3 goals came directly from his poor kicking. I think Coaches like him deep and forced to kick. He’s a great mark, but the penetration in his kick is shallow.

Collingwood being gifted free kicks - the umpires must be listening to the commentators who will not shut up about b****y Collingwood. The Blues have woken up and are playing a very similar game to how the Dees beat the Pies - giving up the run through the wing but clogging up half forward.

Because the media tells us they are 🙄

LOL at watching all you guys having to barrack for Carlton. 🤣

Carlton's entries are low, deep and to a contest, and it's making it very hard for Collingwood to cope with. Collingwood are stemming the potential damage though so far.

The Blues are winning the contests though, and that's the key to winning.

The lack of replays affirms the frees the umpires have missed. Hodgey calls out Quaynors throw but no replay. Would’ve been a shot on goal to Carlton.

They are not very good at the contest the Pies. It’s why I think they won’t dominate finals like most people think they will.

So one umpire decides it’s preseason and gives the Pies a 50 for a blues defender calmly pointing at the screen saying have look. Ump says you can’t point at the screen which is clearly not true as it happens every game

Three 50’s to the Pies and it’s Q time

The old Adam Tomlinson special.

C'mon Blues.
There .... I said it.

Why? Surely we should hope they lose( and damage a few Pies)

Remember when they said we played”bruise-free” footy?

Hey dissent is back! It’s been missing for 15 weeks.

wow the umps are really in the Pies pocket

I hate 'em all.
But Essendon and Collingwood are far and away at the top of the list.

Without knowing anything about Mitch's character and making no corresponding observation, I would like to observe he looks much more like Butthead than our boy Fritsch!

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
