Exactly my question. I was trying to think which Bank at Clifton Hill/ Fairfield Nth had been pinched,

and then i thought he might have just saved it up for this particular killing day.

Point of order. I suspect you mean Clifton Hill/Fitzroy Nth.

Sorry ... it's my hood.

tbh I found Pies supporters to be quite tame yesterday. comparative to what we're used to. they seemed quite humbled and accepting of the kids. almost praising. seems they kind of expected that one.

I found them tame after the game...You guys should have won by more etc etc. You know what after the past few years of Pie supporters giving me a hard time  (Your GF, the only team that you didnt beat in 2021 etc) I don't need their empathy...

A lot of anti Filth sentiment on this thread.  Two of my best mates are pies supporters and very knowledgeable about the game.  I went to the game with one on Monday and was telling him that I hoped his feral mates would behave. He just smiled and said, “you know it’s not fair that all pie’s supporters are tainted.  It’s 99% that give the other 1% a bad name!”

I had a colleague Pies supporter at one of my previous employers. Would always get stuck into me about Range Rover driving, ‘off to snow’ Dees supporter.

You wouldn’t believe the look on my face when he was showing me his new car on his phone that he bought when he made partner and how he took it for a spin up to his holiday home in Bright.

Your colleague is bluffing.  He showed a forged university degree to get the job he had, used a stolen phone to show you a pic of his stolen car and this holiday home he speaks of is somewhere called Barwon Prison

On the way home on the train I could really feel the hate from one Collingwood supporter. I loved it!

How dare he talk about our @dworship like that! 😂

I'll have you know I was enjoying my cheese board and Merlot. Besides, I said I was LOUD not inarticulate. I have also been known to be quite gracious when speaking to opposition supporters. Some of them appear perplexed when I tell them I'm working on my sincerity.

They probably don't want to get kicked out their first year in the hallowed domain. Bit different to the outer at Vic Park, which had its advantages.

Hope it was a loooong train ride and they had to sit there with you for most of the journey. A little smirk every now and them would keep them ticking over. Haha I promised myself not to have a go at Collingwood when we won BUT I just cannot help myself. Ingrained since birth a long time ago.

99% of 100,000 odd members is a lot!

Last year after the game and I queued for the toilets behind the cheer squad bay, I had Collingwood supporters jumping, yelling, one jumped in my face "Go home, Dees!" and I felt like saying to him, "We are home, it's been our home since 1858", but I didn't. Just wasn't in the mood.

This year, totally different affair.  Queued for the toilet, and engaged in a very pleasant conversation with a Pies supporter in front of me who said, "you guys deserved to win that". We discussed who could play each other in the finals and agreed it would be cool if it was Melbourne and Collingwood.  Afterwards she said to me, "Thank you for being so nice, we don't often get that."

I had the AFL app open and was discussing with my daughter how the stats all showed it was actually a 6 goal win to us.  Collingwood supporters seemed unappreciative of this education.

When arriving at the Tippler before the game we were taken to our booth and there were 3 Collingwood guys sitting at the table next to us. As I approached one of them moved his scarf off the seat and said something like "I don't want you touching my stuff" to which the rest of the table did one of those cringy, old timer, 'jolly good show' laughs. Obviously I replied that I didn't want to touch his stuff either.

You have to admire it in a way though, the world hates their guts and they still manage to think that their excrement comes out in the form of a diamond.

There’s no need for that good sir.

the good people of Kew would have you believe they are nowhere near the northern suburbs. But they are much closer than they would like to be

  • CASEY: Geelong

There was a time in the second quarter of the game at the Cattery on Friday afternoon when the Casey Demons threatened to take the game apart against the Cats. The Demons had been well on top early but were struggling to convert their ascendancy over the ground until Tom Fullarton’s burst of three goals in the space of eight minutes on the way to a five goal haul and his best game for the club since arriving from Brisbane at the end of 2023. He was leading, marking and otherwise giving his opponents a merry dance as Casey grabbed a three goal lead in the blink of an eye. Fullarton has now kicked ten goals in Casey’s three matches and, with Melbourne’s forward conversion woes, he is definitely in with a chance to get his first game with the club in next week’s Gather Round in Adelaide. Despite the tall forward’s efforts - he finished with 19 disposals and eight marks and had four hit outs as back up to Will Verrall in the second half - it wasn’t enough as Geelong reigned in the lead through persistent attacks and eventually clawed their way to the lead early in the last and held it till they achieved the end aim of victory.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
