Not announced yet but I’ll take a wild guess and say it’s Jordon.

and nailing them!

Over the head from 10m out seems a strange practice routine.

Jordan dropped again?  Getting beyond the joke with this kid. I'd leave too if I was getting this sort of treatment.

He is one of the young fellas that NEVER should be dropped; it's clear to see that he is not totally out of the team but he has done his 'sub' apprenticeship a dozen times over. He really is a talent; coming onto the field at on-demand, unwarm-up haphazard moments , given a verbal briefing of a role to play (never the same, in terms of building attributes), with responsibilities to turn games on their head (particularly recently). He has talent, he shows talent and quietly, remains 'Mr Kool' going about the tasks at hand as allocated. He creates attacking space but as the young brother of his brethren - just coming onfield instead of at the start of the game - he is overlooked by teammates quite frequently. This young man is worthy of retention as well as legitimate game time across four quarters.

Random fun fact:

Joel Smith hasn’t kicked a goal since the 2018 prelim final.

Not much in the world has happened since…

If someone told you back then that the next time he kicks a goal (hopefully), would be after a global pandemic and a flag, you’d laugh and cry and laugh

An excellent pre game routine fd !!

You should be in prime form by the first bounce.

Haha, so true.

I have tried to erase the memory of the 2018 prelim but if memory serves he kicked a goal in the goal square during junk time of the 18 prelim.

Has he played in a winning side since that day/night.

He's definitely a bust as a top 3 pick, but if you can pick him up as a delisted free agent or for a late pick it would be a smart option for depth. Dunstan will probably be delisted after this season.

No no and no

If you look at the screens at the ground it says harmes is the sub. But they've put the wrong name up before

We’re 11-6 when Joel Smith plays, since the 2018 prelim.

Harmes has to be the obvious sub.

BBB would never be sub  while you’d imagine we would’ve seen a mid week video of Woey if he were playing tonight.

Turner an outside chance.

Throw in there a national hero disgraced.

I confess to being mildly shocked he'd played 17 games in that time.

Blues have not beaten a top 8 side this year….and that’s not gonna change tonight!

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
