Feels like a pre-season game

We’ve been given permission from the AFL to have a drum in the cheer squad. I was all for it, but hearing Carlton’s drum has made me re-think things. It’s so annoying. 

Ridiculous opening quarter. Can either of these teams defend? Great spectacle but this kind of gameplay falls apart in finals.

Yep. It’s why I don’t think either team can with it this year. Awful defending.

Carlton players trying to be tough is one of my favourite things. 

nice open game currently - easy to watch

Big posters (goal)should be more than a point. There very hard to hit.

Lions tackle like they mean it. Should hold them in good stead.

I use to be completely against changing the game to 16 a side, however this season so far has me questioning my stance. 

Carlton's defence is putrid.

 

As is the Blue centric umpiring - not just the frees paid but those not paid. Throws, HTB missed.

Just turned on the footy. What's with this putrid orange and almost black get up that Carlton are wearing?? It's awful.

The orange is representing “Carlton Respects” which is an initiative that raises awareness for gender equality and prevention of violence against women. They have this match annually. They used to just wear orange socks for it but last year they introduced a special Carlton Respects guernsey.

Nothing that I’ve heard. The fact that this match went ahead as scheduled bodes well. Surely it would’ve been delayed or even postponed had she passed away.
