How’d you get that? I don’t see that anywhere on the site?

Because I got the GFG three or four Years ago with a General Admission and have paid for it ever since. I haven't asked for any change since also.

i wanted ga plus reserved seats for me and 2 grand kids

didn't want gfg for all 3 as the $200 for gfg was worth much much more than their tickets. In fact when you added gfg for all three of us it more than doubled the cost.

in addition there are no grand final junior prices so kids pay full adult prices to go to the gf

and the gfg doesn't give you any discount towards gf ticket prices anyway

Can understand your reluctance re  Junior tickets and prices etc. but you lost me when you are not happy GFG doesn't provide a reduced price to your ticket.

Reason is the GFG is a MFC initiative and GF prices are AFL prices for Finals tickets!

Would be nice if they sent out a membership card at some stage.

You would need to sign up and pay for that.

I am wondering why are all reserved seat memberships still showing wait list on the MFC website?

Should we expect an increased number of memberships ?

Hopefully it means most, if not all members from last year have renewed?

Perhaps a clever strategy to draw more attention, making people believe that memberships are in short supply so better get yours now!

how is not having any reserved seats to sell a "clever strategy"?

Does anyone know what you get in the baby demon pack? I had a baby a month ago and still waiting on the package to arrive

Probably  giving existing seat holders opportunity to renew before allocating ( if any new seats reservations become available).any new reservations.

Hopefully after that time there is a new area for further seat reservations.

It's automatic, has been for a number of years... Plus I have already made three payments since October from my credit card.

in previous years seat holders only had seats held to some time in november (maybe december) iirc.

Anyone know what the current tally is?

no...nothing.  Espcially annoying when other clubs have had tallies up for some time.  Office doesn't return until next Monday....maybe we will get an update then.

Ok that's what I was after. Mrs Dw and I are on a payment plan as well and received our membership pack well before Xmas. I suggest you ring the membership team. I had an issue with a 3 game membership that auto renewed and was being billed for, I rang the team and they sorted it straight away and sent a prompt refund. It sounds like something has gone amiss with yours.

Hi Luci I just rang the membership number. No specific contact. They were always happy to give me the current number.
it took 13 years on here for my originall name It's Time to become redundant. I'm still basking in that glory. But it's nice to think about another. Although my wife wants to go O/S next Sept the only time she'll be free so I could still miss actually seeing one.

Hmmm....you can't tell her to enjoy her trip?

Yep. I could. That would certainly free up a lot of my time permanently.
The good news is it's now late May not Sept. So Premiership mission back on track. And marriage. 😎

So.., do we have any actual numbers yet?

membership site still only showing 2022 numbers

Baby pack membership?  On top of all the birthday and chrissy present membership not to mention game block membership it really does blurr the real membership figures.

No doubt its to impress sponsors.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

Saturday’s election night game in Perth between the West Coast Eagles and Melbourne represents 18th vs 15th which makes it a tough decision as to which party to favour. The Eagles have yet to break the ice under their new coach in Andrew McQualter who is the second understudy in a row to confront Demon Coach Simon Goodwin who was also winless until a fortnight ago. On that basis, many punters might be considering to go with the donkey vote but I’ve been assigned with the task of helping readers to come to a considered opinion on this matter of vital importance across the nation. It was almost a year ago that I wrote a preview here of the Demons’ away game against the Eagles (under the name William from Waalitj because it was Indigenous Round).  I issued a warning that it was a danger game, based on my local knowledge that the home team were no longer easybeats and that they possessed a wunderkind generational player in Harley Reid who was capable of producing stellar performances playing among men a decade and more older than he.  At the time, the Eagles already had two wins off the back of a couple of the young man’s masterclasses and they had recently given the Bombers a scare straight after their Anzac Day blockbuster draw against the then reigning premiers.

  • NON-MFC: Round 08

Round 08 of the 2025 AFL Season kicks off on Thursday with a must-win game for the Bombers to stay in touch with the top eight, while the struggling Roos seek a morale-boosting upset. Friday sees the Saints desperate for a win as well if they are to stay in finals contention and their opponents the Dockers will be eager to crack in to the Top 8 with a win on the road. Saturday kicks off with a pivotal clash for both sides asthe Bulldogs look to solidify their top-eight spot, while Port seeks to shake their pretender tag. Then the Crows will be looking to steady their topsy turvy season against a resurgent Blues looking to make it 4 wins on the trot. On Election Night a Blockbuster will see the ladder-leading Pies take on the Cats, who are keen to bounce back after a narrow loss. On Sunday the Sydney Derby promises fireworks as the Giants aim to cement their top-eight status, while the Swans fight to keep their season alive. The Hawks, celebrating their centenary, will be looking to easily account for the Tigers who are desperate to halt their slide. The Round concludes on Sunday Night with a top end of the table QClash with significant ladder implications; both Queensland teams are in scintillating form. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?
