Nathan Brown To Retire?

I really hope that that's not the case.

It would be a terrible shame for such a talented player to end his career so prematurely, all because of a freak injury.

If he does call it a day, I hope he announces it on a more credible and respected forum than the Footy Show.

I truly hope not. I am a real fan of his.

Although I can understand it if his leg is just not right and may never be.....

But it would be a very unfortunate end to a career, and a massive loss of talent to the game :( .

You'd think Hamill would be a pretty good bet?

Because accorrding to our friends over at Punt Road End, at 3pm today Wallace said that Brown was pain-free after a running session on Monday, but because it's been six weeks since his last game, the club will need to manage his return to action carefully.

"I keep not wanting to put a time frame on these things, but we're hoping that over the next fortnight we can work him back up and hopefully we can see him back out there," Wallace said. Not really retirement talk?

And frankly I really hope not.

Are we completely trusting Big Footy?

Mate, there's another thread on bigfooty saying that he's now finally running without pain

Seriously though, bigfooty is ok, 90% of it is trolling shiite but from time to time there are some really worthwhile threads.

I hope that's not the case, it'd be such a blow to the game if he were to hang to boots up. It was a terrible injury, it doesn't surprise me that it's been so hard for him to come back.

I don't think he showed him up, but he did give a few "coaching" suggestions and they were dismissed through humour.

The comments were not at all derogatory from either one, but from what I can remember they could have been useful.

It was nothing more than an outsiders perspective, which is not a bad thing sometimes. :P !!!

Bad luck, Judas

I hope you never change companies or work for someone else when they have offered more money and /or better conditions with a view to bettering your lot in life.

Seriously, so many people hold afl players up to standards that would never apply to themselves.

I hope he comes back as he is the reason you go to the footy.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
