Really hope Blake Howes plays well today.

He is an exciting prospect for the Demons!

Every year sime Demonlanders are creaming their daks for a recruit that hasn't actually done anything. It used to be Rosman now its Howes.

Might be an idea to wait until he's actually played some decent footy.

Weideman has been poor at best. Looks like a man who knows his career is done

Haven't seen him, perhaps he is not playing.

Says he has 15 touches on the app…

not sure what number he is

He's been injured most of the season. I personally think he's got great attributes and was stoked that he fell to us in the draft. Sure he's not proven yet but I'm excited with what I'm seeing so far.

Casey have set themselves a fair challenge but do seem to have the wind in the last.

If they crack in and win some clearances and keep it simple going forward they’ll be a chance.

The ball movement has been a disaster all game with forwards looking for easy kicks and backs/mids messing around with it

Love this commentator...

On a par with Brian Taylor as far as doctorship goes...Brisbane player down with what is clearly a knee/leg problem and calls it a shoulder as the runners are dragging him up by the arms.

Just saw him in the backline number 41.

Bedford with a blistering run, nearly falls over and blazes away with team mates wide open.

Tomlinson struggling to run in to the wind and the backline concede an easy goal.

Sums this one up

Said, "down with cramp", they stopped play and it was in the rib area.

Likes hearing his own voice, goes off subject, baracks and when dees have the play, he tells a story.

Also a mathematical genius!

Commentators will be in the circle for the team song I’m assuming

Shameless.

"Its his first game no wonder I'm excited!"

This is the worst I’ve seen Casey play in a long time. The game is totally on Brisbane’s terms, the pressure is lacking and the limited forays forward we’ve had in the second half have been rushed and messy.

Judd McVee getting a lot of it. Anyone watching notice how he is playing? Good disposal?

Fair, but the game at the start of the final qtr is really messy, with Casey all-at-sea with teamwork deficits and little run and drive. Their record is great for this season, so we cannot complain. However, they are down on competitiveness today; Brisbane are not far ahead, also without much drive - just making space up the ground to keep them in the lead. Some of our key players are down today, not making defensive or midfield in-roads with the ball. It is good, however, to again link names with players and possible potentials.

Heading for their first defeat. Down by 20 points.

The loss they had to have.

Rather this than the GF.

Not even making it to a contest. Repetitively.

Brown takes a clear man in front mark. Commentator: ‘good decision’

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
