Kev 10,930 Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 (edited) Looks like they will be on Gosch's this morning. Saw a few in the car park, including Jackson, who appeared fine. I'll be here, though it looks like a 10.30 start at the earliest. Edited August 1, 2022 by kev martin 2 7 Quote

Kev 10,930 Posted August 1, 2022 Author Posted August 1, 2022 (edited) Got a chance to walk out on the surface. There are patchy areas, some grass is brownish, a little less growth in places, and the line can be seen between the slabs. Feels firm underneath and generally well levelled. They are still not out, perhaps an 11 o'clock start. Happy watching the storm go about it. Still waiting, if not by 11.30 I'm out. The training cart has turned up. There will be a session. Demonland 74,465 Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Looking forward to a detailed report. Please let us know who is not training or in rehab? (AKA LEVER ANKLE WATCH) Also could you please inspect the state of TMac's foot. 3 2 5 Quote
Kev 10,930 Posted August 1, 2022 Author Posted August 1, 2022 (edited) Two in rehab, Rosman and Tmac. BBB on the ground late and in runners, joined the main group, for about 5 minutes, then back into the sheds. Joel Smith training in the forward groupings. Bowey was with the seconds. The seconds left the field,. Jake Lever did his own warm up, then joined the group, appears unhampered. Jackson in with the group. Now they have all left. A quick 1/2 hr. Harmes is doing a little extra work. Edited August 1, 2022 by kev martin 13 13 Quote

JVR with the forwards when they split and with the seconds when they finished on the track. 8 3 1 Quote
Kev 10,930 Posted August 1, 2022 Author Posted August 1, 2022 (edited) They all did a warm up and some run throughs from goal to goal together. They then split up into their lines and went to three drill stations, which they rotated through. I watched the one that Williams took. He wanted them to look around then perform a sharp 10 meter pass. He didn't stop talking. The group split into seniors and seconds. Just as they were getting warm they left. There was minimal kicking, and everything was 1/2 pace. Thought it was great that nearly the whole squad was together. Edited August 1, 2022 by kev martin 9 2 Quote

Lever started his warm up with the group, he second guessed himself and went to warm up by the fence, stretching mainly his ankle area. Trained with everyone as per normal. I think he is right to go. DeeZone 10,596 Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Thanks KM looks like our injury list has improved immensely not so good for BB but still has 4 days, although I wouldn’t rush him if he isn’t 100%. 2 Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Very keen to see which group Smith is with and how he's pulled up from the weekend. 2 Quote
daisycutter 30,021 Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 if bbb doesn't come up for this week. i'd be tempted to try tomlinson at full fwd. he's a handy mark and a good kick. his vfl form has been good too. 5 Quote

Starting to warm to this idea each week. We really just need a contest, if he provides it then it's worth considering. 2 Quote

Smith trained as normal and in the forwards group. When they split into seniors and seconds, Joel was talking with coaches though left the field with the seconds. 1 2 Quote

Past history tells us that TMac doesn't carry injuries well and takes multiples of games to hit his straps when he does come back. I am a fan but wouldn't expect to see him again this year 7 1 1 Quote

If not I think it’s too risky to bring him in for a PF or GF. 2 Quote
