Got to give credit where credits due. Geelong look pretty formidable.

Dogs defence is not helping them. 3-4 goals out the back just shouldn’t happen.

They apply lots of pressure, which shows they are hungry. We haven’t seen how they cope with similar pressure. Let’s see it in finals.

Ugh not only will they win but now they’ll probably have a massive percentage boost.

They’re not losing another match this home and away season.

I know we no longer play footy as a one-on-one game but surely if you are getting flogged as the Doggies are now, stopping Geelong's free flowing football with multiple free players becomes something of a priority. And from memory, you have to run - lots of Doggies players trotting around with little intensity.

oh right, I forgot. Loading 🙄

Dogs set themselves up to beat us. It was their final. They needed to get it done and they did. Shame for them that they won’t even make finals… 😂

Can’t believe we lost to the Dogs. They look a second rate team.

It’s going to be hard for anyone to beat Geelong.

Fortunately finals are no longer played at KITTYLITTER PARK. Though I guess they may whine their way into getting one v Port or Freo

Interesting that the BS about umpire disrespect early in the season has gone right out the window, at least for the Cats at KLP

Then played really well last week. It was the best I’d seen them play for 12 months. I don’t think they got enough credit around here for how well they played against us. It took everything they had (and a bit of luck) to beat us.

Digs and Cats both treated playing us like it was the Grand Final.

The Bulldogs are certainly elite at winning the free kick counts, their getting flogged but have twice as many frees unbelievable.

Dogs are a great offensive team but terrible defence. Marvel suits them and we inexplicably played an offensive game. Let see how cats go against best defensive unit in comp. There will be no out the backs and stroll out of midfield. Toughen up Demonlanders we have the firepower and ground advantage to take the Cats on!

Maybe they (Dogs) should never think they are in a GF again - we mentally scarred them.

Saad really is like a small Sam Frost except not as good 1v1. He makes some bizarre moves.

Don't like Cody Weightman very much as a player, but that was a bully act from Ceglar. Lucky there was no injury.

Seems umpire dissent is no longer a thing. Well, not as far as Hawkins is concerned.

I hate to admit it, but Cats look scary

I hate to admit it but they’re the best team in the comp by a country mile at the moment.

It hasn’t been for a long time. The way the game as a whole is adjudicated from week to week and game to game and even team to team is a joke.

Dogs are pathetic mind you, how did we lose to this team? They have collectively poo'd their pants like no team I've ever seen.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p

    TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti
