Only watched the last quarter but looked a drab game

The last quarter was riveting compared to the first three!

We sure have a lot of trophy and medal games these days.

I didn’t stick around to watch the presentation. What were they playing for? The ‘At least we aren’t North Melbourne’ cup?

It's the Trevor Barker-EJ Whitten cup this one. Not the worst touch I guess

BT is a joke

He took stupidity to another level when he said that the Bulldogs were having a "mini onslaught".

That West player (Rylee... FFS) looks like he has an adult head superimposed on a 15 year old body.

Interesting that the free kick Bulldogs rule was in full force. Worst incident was Bontempelli getting caught and simply dropping the ball ... nothing to see hear, move on. And Hodge saying that was OK. Players like Bontempelli get away with murder.

Saints are terrible. Players like Zac Jones, Crouch, Higgins were terrible recruits. Even Steele has regressed .... no longer an A grader.

His pump up for St Kilda 28 points down with 7 mins left and picking out random people in the crowd he thought were nervous was embarrassing.

St Kilda really comes down to Ryder for me, when he plays and plays well then everyone else looks great. Without him their midfield is a dump.

Higgins was crap tonight.

Not until we get a goal kicking coach.

He’s a mistake riddled commentator.

Channel 7 need to reconsider their premier number 1 caller (Friday night / GF)

We were spoilt with the technically brilliant Bruce and Dennis of the 2012-2016 era.

The love in for Bailey Smith was at full power last night. I just don’t get what’s so spectacular about him? He gets lots of handball receives, runs on to his right, then proceeds to kick it to either no one or straight to the opposition.

Damn shame the bulldogs won.  Lose and there was no chance of making the 8 and they could pack up shop.

Now there is some hope of finals for them, they will come out all guns firing next week against us.  Like Geelong they will have revenge on their mind and throw everything at us.

Have to agree, he was very average but he's now he's just crap and injecting himself too much in it eg. Harping on so much about how he liked the footrace from Pickett.

Was thinking the other day how much I miss Dennis.

Can't believe I am saying this but I want Blues to beat Cats.

Also obviously we want Swans to be at Dockers.

I would be happy to play our first final at the G against Cats, Blues, Lions or Pies as that would give us our best chance of being in the PF at the G.

Well this is a tough one.

For the optimists you want Carlton and the Swans to win.

For the others it's the reverse.

It's going to be a nerve wracking weekend

PS wins by Adelaide and the Giants would be nice but unlikely

Redleg you have just outed yourself as an optimist according to Diamond_Jim.  I'm bewildered, so I am just going to hope they all beat the living daylights out of each other.

Being called an optimist is strange, as I am pessimistic about our game against Port. Port are basically at full strength and in good form, while we are not in great form and missing 60% of our goal to goal line, including our best player.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
