Jesse Hogan coming home, given GWS targeting Cadman?

just need to put a little more detail on the table, or otherwise you are just trying to create the appearance of having connections.

Mate, when I have given names in the past I get smashed when the deal does not eventuate.  In this case I have sworn to secrecy on the contracted KPF we have targeted since mid-season.

Don’t expect a name, just a few more details rather than the current “the sun will come up tomorrow” prediction. Otherwise, there is no point saying anything at all.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's a tough gig being @Grand New Flag

Do you know what the hold up is? Convincing the player, or satisfying the player's club on a trade?

Can we at least get a height range so we can be sure that they are tall?

We may not be done! Apart from likely departure of Weeds we are working hard on a KPF.

Brace for a possible 6pm surprise!

I wasn't going to pay too much attention to today but i'm genuinely intrigued now. There hasn't been a murmur in the press about us chasing a KPF so looking forward to see what unfolds

Schache is tall.

Schache is tall.

Great thinking, so we can safely assume they are 195cm plus?

Is it Josh Bruce? Grand old.

God i hope not

Brian Taylor - contracted to 7 though

Misses the easy ones. (Bruce)

Can take a mark, and is strong in the contest.

With absolutely no Information I would love us have a crack at Tim Membrey at St Kilda. Runs hard, takes a good contested mark and kicks goals and goes down back when needed

Bruce or Schache who would you take?

Or Jake Riccardi

One of my good friends was heavily involved with Carlton years back and flicked me a message that Jack Watts had just done a medical with them after about his third season with us.

I scurried so excitingly to demonland to drop the massive news thinking I was the first with a scoop only to be politely correct by the demonland faithful that Mr Watts was indeed having a few frothies on an overseas end of season trip with the lads and I was in fact a goose.

I ended up giving my mate a call and just got the standard "lol" response which was deserved.

A couple lads I know are working in similar circles now basically in their dream job.  They're always giggling at these rumours and keep their cards very close to their chests.

If they were ever to leak out info about targets/trades, then it would be game over for the career.  So I always struggle to believe people when they're advised of these little scoops about contracted players or potential targets unless it comes from the target or there managers first.

Loose lips sink ships..... and end careers.  Why would you?

Yeah expected to hear his name come up more this trade period.

Mate let it go. This GNF vindictiveness is getting boorish.

If we are letting Weid go, then perhaps GNF has something to it...but i would consider Bruce or Schache disasters and may as well have kept Weid.

Why not go Ollie Henry

Josh Bruce won't be going anywhere.

His manager has already come out today and said that Bruce will be playing at the doggies next year and may look at even playing as a defender.

There will be NO out of the blue recruitment of key forwards. Schache will join the dees which has been well reported in the media for the past 2 days now.

SEN had Josh Bruce's manager on this morning and he couldn't possibly be any more adamant that Bruce will be a dish licker next year.

Ben King would be an interesting one. The only KPF in contract that I would've expected as gettable.

Which is a disaster. I do not see ANY point given we have Weideman. Couldn't care less that he is a pick 2, he's never delivered at AFL level

He signed a 2 year contract earlier this season, contracted to 2024

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
