bedford looks very sore - hore stood on his foot, and as bedford was hopping up and down on the mark he didn't 'stand' so conceded the 50 and hore kicks the goal

tough ruling that one

I had often wondered what would happen if an injured or cramping player on the mark hopped when told to stand. There it is. Terrible fifty, no feel for the game, still not a fan of the stand rule when it’s applied like that.

Weideman boots his 5th. He and JVR putting the heat on the key forwards in Perth to do something tonight.

They are playing north KC. Don't think that form says much other than I would expect nothing less.

You can only kick them on who you’re playing against & they’ve both been pretty impressive

Was this game scheduled to be on 7? It says in the program guide it’s today’s game, but they are showing Hawks v Tigers.

Between the AFL and 7 they are hopeless where this competition is concerned. Too many byes, interstate games etc. If either of them told me it was day time I would go outside and check.

Good to know that despite their current predicament at AFL level the Roos have some quality talent coming through the VFL 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

Weid might be the unluckiest player ever to not get a call up to the seniors if he ends up with a bag of 10

And there ends an exhilarating quarter 9 goal quarter that sees Casey leading by 91 points.

Casey Demons 20.17.137 North Melbourne VFL 7.4.46

Casey Demons Weideman 6 Van Rooyen 5 Dunstan 3 Bedford Buntine Grey Laurie Turner White

Disposals Dunstan 29 Tomlinson 23 White 20 Bedford 18

3Qtr time. Casey 20.17.137. Kangas 7.4.46

Weideman 6 JVR 5 … both showing they are too good for VFL.  Admittedly Kangas defenders look undersized.

Woewodin is impressive.  Good run and uses the ball very well.

Daw dominated the ruck. Youngster VFL listed Bell also showing good agility and backup.

Mitch White and Munro as usual are playing good games

Correct but their AFL team is not much more than VFL standard so kicking a bag against their seconds side shouldn't be seen as earth shattering.

Emphasising the utter absurdity of this rule.

This is some performance by Van Rooyen. His tackling and defensive pressure is elite for such a big forward.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
