Hopefully these kids wont need to be rushed through next year

Hopefully they do get a full season in the VFL to develop though, something that would have significantly impacted all Victorian clubs.

Judd McVee sounds like a made-up name.

Looking at the timeline, there's a good chance he was named for Chris Judd.

And a very Demon premiership style welcome to the three lads who already "seem" bigger than photos previous and profiles also.

Boy with Blake Howes and AMV from NT I'll be very surprised if at least 3 don't get a go on the AFL stage at some stage.

Probably  JVR Blake Howes and Taj are favoured but no guarantees.

Cant wait to see the five's development plus Dunstan's progress and evolution plus his amalgamation into a top class midfield.

Reminds me of an old sketch about a deranged Carlton fan who changed his name by deed poll to Juddy Fevola... middle name EddieBetts.

If Taj debuts with a fresh set of tips I'll melt

Confession time, I had his dad's footy card stuck inside my locker door one year in high school 🤣 He had "the look" of that time down pat.

Only a faint but distinctively Ennio Morricone soundtrack can be heard…

The characteristic  opening scene (as favoured by Sergio Leone) of the vast desiccated landscape comes to life…

with the isolated, distant figure of a lone rider riding relentlessly upon his steed…

as out of a suddenly awakened dream the  cinema lights take effect illuminating the popcorn strewn theatre aisles…

The credits roll…

A new star has emerged from out west …

In the role as “El Gringo” for another Simon Goodwin desperado linguine production is…

…Judd McVee

Is it just me or do they look younger than usual this year

It’s not just you. The older we get, the younger they look. 😁

At first it's like, wow, that player's the same age as me.

Then it's, oh cool, I remember when their Dad played.

Then, wait, that player who's RETIRING is my age???

Then, that player could be my child.

Probably you stop thinking about it at some point!

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
