Moving on, today we have Charlie Spargo!

Was far from our biggest contributor during the Grand Final, but his body of work during the season shows that he's an important cog in this side. Love his ball use going inside forward 50.

Still strange to see that number on a small player but I feel Spargo is yet to show us his best despite having such a good year.

Loving these clips. Thank you so much 👏🏻👏🏻

7 Games

7 Wins

1 Rising Star Nomination

1 Premiership

It's been a fair start to Jake Bowey's career, that's for sure!

Amazing that this guy even got a game then proceeded to cement his place and kept Hunt out. He will be one of our best going forward. His skills are nearly elite already. Great work and congrats to whoever found him.

Great compilation, TMD! Thanks so much. ❤️💙

Happy Cup Day all!

Here's another highlight reel, this time its Tom McDonald, who following the retirement of Nathan Jones, is now the most experienced player on our list.

I've been watching Trac's dribbled goal in the third quarter and noticed that, in the marking contest that led to the goal, Tom got in front of the 2 WB defenders to prevent them from marking or spoiling effectively, and may even have palmed the ball down in front of Trac, resulting in Trac's amazing goal.

Add another one to the collection!

He was very close to a Norm Smith IMO. Its a shame the voters onnly put value on the "big" "flashy" moments!

Just a suggestion to your naming convention MD …

Can you please add 2021 to these amazing vids at some stage? I wouldn’t want to be confused when you add future GF highlights … 2022, 2023, etc!

But then, you could be planning a combined GF package for each player I suppose. My brain is 🥴 just thinking about that!

Kudos for your work. Super envious!

Outstanding work. These highlights would not look out of place as a  special feature on our premiership DVD.

Just fantastic. Watchingbit bÿ bit and just as emotive today.

tears come naturally to eyes as i watch these highlights. It's a reaction that's so hated to explain.

Joy after the many fruitless and frustrating years.

knowimng that I can wear the red and blue and not be treated with scorn, derision or sympathy.

To now know that I can be proud to identify as a demon supporter.

That I can now say all the despair has been erased.

And there's the delight in seeing the youth of this team, that has learnt so much and can continue to build.

Didnt know it would last this long I reckon I'll be a mess for some time.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
