I ordered a Premiers shirt from the AFL last Friday, and received it yesterday.

I’ve just sent 6 separate emails for 6 separate unfulfilled orders from The Demon Shop & The AFL Store. I immediately received the No Reply standard COVID delays response.

Almost all items are available instore.

I know its a first world problem and I know the club will make a fortune and that’s amazing. However it is very frustrating to the early adopters.

All my orders were made between 25/9 - 29/9. I’ve only received a cap, jumper and hoodie.

No beanie, scarf, caps, T-Shirts, polos, DVDs, tie, drink bottle, towels, books.

All the DVDs are on special at JBs this week. And the Legends 6 dvd pack is worth getting for $9

Happy to have given the club the extra dollars as long as I can bitch about not receiving an item I order for full price 2 months ago that I could now walk in and purchase for $9 in the bargain bin. 😛

Another rant. Again prefaced with happy to support the club financially and understand that some of these delays are out of their control.

I preordered the Pictorial Book of the Grand Final on the 3/10. It was the only item in the order so there are no other items holding it up. As far as I'm aware it has not shipped as I have not received a notification like I have with some other items so it's not stuck in transit with Australia Post.

I purchased the same book for my dad on 11/11 over a month after mine and he received it today. He received shipping notification either the same day of the order or the next day.

Again not blaming the club. Just venting my frustration.

I totally feel your frustration D-Land. I ordered a premiership cap and bottle opener on 29/09, still hasn’t arrived.

I've received mine which was ordered 26/9. I was actually surprised that that of all items was one that has arrived.

weird, wonder if nb kept some normal jumpers back incase we won, and those who ordered 26/9 got it and it was limited stock.

does not explain website link i posted

I order a premiers polo for $65 six weeks ago and haven't heard anything. It says "awaiting fulfilment". Now the price has gone down to $58.50. Just wondering why they'd drop the price if they can't yet supply any of them? Do I get $6.50 back?

It's still $65. That's just your 10% membership discount applying. You must not have been logged in or had your account linked when you purchased. Maybe if you ask they will refund?

Looks sensational in the flesh (or frame)

Got my photo book. Disappointing that it’s not a hard cover book considering the price. And also Aus Post in their infinite hopelessness managed to bend and snap a part of the spine 😭

Semi-informed theory….

Club placed order for X and got that delivery. Allocated it out. Some of us got product.

Supporters purchased Y volume, far exceeding X. Club placed top up order. This is fulfilled after all other retailers orders (which were in prior to Y order being placed).

This is most likely the case.

However sometimes a nice email inquiry can get your order moving along.

Coincidence?

Apologies where apologies are due. This time to the club. My pre-order for the book was made through the AFL Store. My father's order was done through the club.

  • NON-MFC: Round 12

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. The Suns want to solidify their Top 4 standing whilst the Dockers will be desperate to break into the 8.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
