I have 3 x priority 2 barcodes and 2 x priority 3 barcodes that I am donating to a mate in Perth. He's a WCE supporter but like most footy lovers he and his mates will get right behind Melbourne.

Does anyone have a view on whether it is best to wait until priority 3 sales open at 1pm or whether to order 3 x priority 2 tickets at 11am and the remaining 2 x priority 3 tickets at 1pm?

i'd do the 2-step option - just to make sure you don't miss out entirely. won't get adjacent seats but.

Long time WA demon fan with current prio 3 access. Willing to pay for prio 1.

edit: or donate to a charity / the club

NTG are you concluding there is no way the status will be reduced from low risk to very low risk. This latest issue in Brisbane there has been no community transmission. Isn’t it possible Qld could go to low risk in which case no quarantine. I have two priority one allocations if I cant use them and allowable am happy to pass them on. Will no more tomorrow morning when barcodes are sent.

Have been a member since sixties when they clipped your card going through turnstiles. Shattered I might not be there but am still going to lap it up with big function my place. I knew we would crush cats there old man strategy was a house of cards.

We had have 6 cases over the last 2 days so I'm conceding there'll be no chance we can get there unfortunately seeing as McGowan wanted 28 days of no community transmission. Unfortunate but it's life.

Given my ticket to a mate’s son (WCE supporter) who has been barracking for the Dees this finals… under the strict condition that he gets a scarf and doesn’t go home until he’s lost his voice. Go Dees!

barcode given away.

I have a priority 2 membership. Stuck in Melbourne want to give my barcode to a Dees fan message me if your interested.

Barcode given away

Hey just putting this out there. I'm from Perth. Yes please be careful if your sharing your barcode. I jumped on the bandwagon last week and spent hours on hold and brought 2 interstate memberships with a chance of getting to the grandfinal. For me if they lost last night, ok I donated to the club. But now I'm GFG but priority 3. Alot of us sandgropers did that. So give us a chance to get these priority 3 tickets, knowing that yes we did buy memberships. We are not on here begging for barcodes. Yes If I get my tickets, we will be in the red and blue screaming loud.

If anyone wants to be a legend and help a WA fan get to the game  by sharing their code? I shall return in cartons of beer delivered

If these are still available I would love them! Up the dees!

I think anyone claiming theyre dees supporters would need to provide some form of proof. I.e - multiple historical text message exchanges between friends and not just some random buggalugs standing in front of a WEG demons premiership poster

Just got an email from the club.

You can share your Priority 1 barcodes.

This is the wording from the club:

Your membership has Priority 1 access to purchase a Toyota AFL Grand Final ticket. If you know someone who would like to attend the game, you can pass on your membership barcode/s and allow them access to the member pre-sale when it opens. All times are local to the venue (AWST).

Priority 1 Ticket On-Sale

Monday 13 September
9am - 11am

Limit of one (1) ticket per membership.

You can purchase a maximum of eight (8) tickets in one transaction.

Is priority 1 including GFG

I have booked flights and accommodation from Adelaide to Perth for 5. Only have x2 priority 1 bar codes does anyone have 3 priority 1 bar codes available? They are for my 3 teenage children who have never been to a GF . Would love for them to go too given we have paid over $6k in flights accommodation

I purchased a grand final guarantee at the start of the season - however haven’t received an email yet. My sister who also purchased at the same time got an email almost an hour ago. Has anyone else not yet received their ticketing email?

I mentioned earlier today in this thread that I spoke to the club yesterday and was told an email with all details re ticketing and refunds for GFG etc  is being sent out on Sunday.

Hi Folks, I have a mate and his girlfriend in Perth. He is footy mad, not a Dees fan. His girlfriend is a Dees fan. I am giving him my pri 3 code. If anyone has a pair of pri 1 or 2 codes, or one pri 1,2,3 code, that would enable them to go. They will be barracking hard for the Dees! DM me if you can help. Cheers.

Just want to thank M_9 who sorted me out with a prio 1 code.

As i can't edit my previous post anymore, i figured i'd leave a follow up reply.

My wife and I are WA dees members but only have priority 3. If any of you poor members who can't make it would be able to help us out with priority 1 or 2 it would be greatly appreciated. Please dm me.

Cheers and go dees!!

G'day All,

Until discovering this thread the other day, I had assumed my 2x 'Priority 3' memberships were a lock for GF tickets..

If someone is interested in offering 2x Priority 1 or 2 memberships for fare recompense, please PM, i'll happily pass my P3's onto some one that wants to take a punt.

Cheers Will

Long term reader but not a contributor of this great site. WA based Demon Member, attended last night, amazing experience. I have GFG but the wife only has normal interstate membership. If someone has a spare GFG I could use that would be amazing.
It was incredible to see the amount of red and blue at the game, so proud of the boys. I feel like I am in a dream..

Hi all,

I am a long-time daily reader but very infrequent poster. I just arrived from Germany into Darwin yesterday and will be in quarantine in Howard Springs until September 21st. I am a huge Dees fan. Before moving to Germany two years ago, I attended every game in Melbourne and sat in the MCC (I am a joint MCC/MFC Premium member) with my brother and father. (@Fat Tony is my brother.) I can't remember when I started following the Dees, but it would have been when I was around 3 or 4 years old. I used to watch "Demon Attack" repeatedly after school, which was a video of our 1994 season (Brett Lovett was my favourite player back then).

I am looking to get 2 grand final tickets should we make it - one for me and one for my wife, who is with me in quarantine. I managed to convert her to the Dees about four years ago, and now she watches every game, but she is not a member yet because we were living overseas. I believe my MFC membership means that I am Priority 2 for the Grand Final. What would Demonlanders advise, given that I need two tickets? If people are looking to offload a Grand Final guarantee, I would be happy to buy them at cost price if we beat Geelong on Friday.

Hi all, I'm still looking for one Priority 1 barcode. Will be eternally grateful if someone can help me out and am happy to refund you or donate to the club or a charity of your choice

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
