He looked to be imposing himself and trying to intimidate. It was very deliberate. Gotta be a couple of weeks if the AFL is serious, but probably won’t be. You can’t try and impose yourself physically on an umpire. It’s just about the dumbest thing I’ve seen a footballer do in a while.

Yep. Totally unacceptable. Needs to be made an example of, as he often is and for good reason.

Yeah, I'd suspend him for a week for directly bashing into an umpire, but to say he's a "disgrace to the game" is really poor. He and players like him elevate the game of AFL.

Make it two weeks just to be sure.

If you hate Geelong like I do then you want Sydney to win.  GWS without Greene and Green will struggle next week.  Swans will too but they look more likely to take it up to the Cats.  History shows the losing qualifiers win the second week.

Another poster!

Gawn cops a free against him every time is does something similar to what Hickey just did in the ruck. 🤷🏼‍♂️

GWS have stopped. Hope the Swans can get over the line, because the Giants scare me way more than them.

Our game does have a history of champions who are also thugs. The thuggery tends to fade from memory as time goes by.

By acting like sooky thugs???? I'd hardly call thuggery 'elevation'...

Poor kick from Rampe.

5 minutes each way with time on.

What a game, well played to both teams.

Exactly what finals football should be.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
