Always manages to make his commentary and writing about himself in some way.

Surprised he's elected to write about Fritsch too when there are so many snipers in the game. Mumford is one that comes to mind, he's a genuine rat who always plays the man and gets away with it every time.

"Heading the Hawks’ naughty list, it should come as no surprise that Dermott ‘The Kid’ Brereton has missed more games through suspension than any of his fellow clubmen. The famous No.23 coincidently sat out a total of 23 games after receiving 14 separate charges during his decorated career in the brown and gold. Brereton added another 16 games to that tally in the final two years of his career – 14 weeks from two separate incidents in his lone year at the Swans, and two weeks from a single incident at Collingwood."

Tall poppy syndrome here. Bailey has immaculate hair. Get stuffed Dermie you closet ranga!!!

I'm awarding this as "post of the day".

Brilliant and accurate insight Dee viney. Sniping itself lack courage imo and dermie was a great exponent.

Derm is always whinging about people doing perceived filthy things now. He's like an ex-criminal who finds god and tries to lecture all the current crims on what they're doing wrong.

The only difference being, the crims aren't proud of their previous life.

TBH I can't understand what Dermie is on about.

I looked back at the Fritta "small bump" on Grainger-Barass and there is nothing to see.

If he king hit someone, like Dermie did to plenty of opponents, I would understand, but this is a nothing small bump.

Very strange.

Yep let’s put the the torch on Bailey Fritsch for random acts of contact in a physical contact sport. Don’t worry about Tony Greene literally karate kicking people in the face or ducking to cheat. He’s got mental health issues, so better go target someone else eh. Don’t worry about Mumford intentionally belting blokes and ignoring the game around him. He’s a bit of a larrikin so he gets a free pass.

You [censored] Derrrrm.

People listen to DB! Surprising in itself.

Agree. Looked at it several times. Dermie must be puzzled how a skinny guy like Fritsch can do so much damage accidentally. Fritsch is not a wrecking ball. An affront to his macho sensibilities perhaps.

I'm bloody delighted that Goody came straight out and backed up Fritta.

No achievement in life is achieved without solidarity, and our club has been much improved on this front.

Absolutely.

It was great stuff but also vital.

Next time another soft incident could kand Fritter in trouble just because dermie made up a media meal.

Good clubs get out in front of rubbish like this.

Well done Goody.

wow talk about putting a target on fritters back. How many umpires and opposition supporters will read this and then look at fritters actions in a different way putting more pressure on the umpires to call frees and report him.  this is a disgusting use of the media platform.

if dermie wants to shout about players doing nasty things then why not talk about the number of times that Gawny goes for a mark and is deliberately hit in the head by opposition players, mumford does this regularly. I think the commentators call it pressure. no one gets reported for that, open season on wacking someone in a marking contest, which Fritter is probably well aware of as he is more often than not the one whacked, cruched, pushed into other players and buried in the ground when he goes for a mark.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
