I was at Adelaide Oval and they required everybody attending to wear a mask if they were not seated in their seats. If you were walking around the stadium or purchasing food or drink you were required to wear a mask. You were not able purchase food or drink if you were not wearing a mask. You were directed to wear your mask or wear it properly by every attendant or police officer around the ground.

In fact every establishment that I entered whilst in Adelaide whether it be a store or food establishment were very strict on no sign in no service.

Unfortunately this is not the case in Victoria and I would be more confident of a handling of an outbreak if I was living in SA than I do living in Victoria. This is not a political statement as SA is a Labor government and it would not matter if it were the Liberals in charge in Victoria based on some of the statements made from them during lockdown last year. We seem to be the only state that can't get it's [censored] together in handling this pandemic.

Spot on, I would say I would be more confident in any state than Victoria.

Darwin/NT would be locking borders shut. Will say our game next week will be moved to the gabba/alternate place.

It's our home game. No chance its at the Gabba. It'll be MCG

It’s our home game so should be moved to the G. It’s free Friday night.

So they said we can go and yet tickets don’t appear to be available. What’s the deal? Game is in two days.

A lot can happen in 2 days in COVID times.

Assume they are working out the logistics of actually spreading the entire crowd throughout the entire stadium within the % capacity.

They’ll probably play it at Metricon so Brisbane don’t get the home ground  “advantage”

If it’s not in the Alice, and we can’t have it at the G (why not) I’d vote for GIANTS stadium. We played well there during the sydney part of hub life and it’s a truly neutral ground.

I would have thought that if we are locked down in Vic then all games in Vic would either be cancelled or played before zero crowds

Lock down is lockdown or should be

doesnt seem to worry Bunnings and the big retailers

Just what I needed this morning a little humour!

A little humour never goes astray. As Dees devotees it’s probably what kept us going during the wasteland that’s been the last half-century. ?

I imagine there's no way we're playing in the Alice next week either. Wonder if they'll try and reschedule one of our matches later in the year there (GWS most likely). Club will be missing out on big dollars if that match is scratched.

I guess we can close this thread.

I'm seeing if i can get a gig at te ground during game time somehow. Security maybe?

Then i'll go rogue and barrack for the dees

It adds a bizarre element to what is a super important game in terms of ladder position at season's end

Good to see you still have your sense of humour or is this just bizarre scream for help?

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

It's Game Day and the Dees are deep in the heart of enemy territory as they take on the Lions in Brisbane under the Friday Night Lights at the Gabba. Will the Demon finally be awakened and the season get back on track or will they meekly be sacrificed like lambs to the slaughter?

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
