Geelong look off tonight. They are there for the taking if the saints can kick straight.

about max gawn's kicking - give me his skills on a ruckman over rohan marshall

True but he often rests in the fwd line and needs to improve his kicking. Its woeful.

Umpiring terrible

A very very gentle in the back to Rohan - goal!

Imagine how many tons Neita would have kicked had he been awarded every one he took?

Is that a tattoo or a birth mark on the right arm of Tuohy?

I need to know before I switch over to reruns of Home and Away.
TIA.

If you can kick a barrel ten meters past the centre circle then one should do it more often

The last two Demons I remember doing that were Lynden Dunn and Sam Frost.

Both were delisted shortly thereafter, though Sam’s one in the final was as I recall a game turner.

If it's a tattoo, it's the worst one I've ever seen.

If it's a birthmark, I wonder how long he's had it for.

Blimey those misses from the Saints are absolutely disgusting. I'd be tearing my hair out if I was a Saints fan (and we've been in that position plenty of times before). Cats should be counting their blessings that they're only a kick behind.

I can see it happening. Saints should be 5 goals in front but they will drop a bit in pessure in the second half and girlong will run all over them. Hope I amwrong.

And Darren Bennet.

Goal #6 Cats a pretty blatant throw by Hawkins.

How prophetic.

FMD taken by the legs rugby style - holding the ball!!  And again no mention by the commentators.

Umpires clearly under the direction of SHocking from the bench.

Is it me or is this game some of the worst skills on display? Some absolutely shocking mistakes, misses, and fumbles from both teams. Maybe it's the perceived pressure but if that's the case both teams are turning to water when the heats on.

EDIT: Saints have been worse than the Cats.

We're better than Geelong and way better than the saints.

Dermie commented that it was a privilege to watch this match at half time. i think its a rubbish game.

A comedy of errors.

Saints have wasted so many chances.

Not sure about that, some of the Cats throws have been spectacular

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
