I've moved the thread to the main board and changed the title. You might get more action here. Anyone collect footy cards? Here's your thread. 1 Quote
Dr. Gonzo 24,468 Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 Ive got a bunch from when I was a kid in the late 80s-mid 90s including complete sets and insert cards (got Garry Lyon & Stephen Tingay AA cards, Barassi Legends card etc) The last 5-10 years I usually buy a couple of packs a year of the premium sets from card zone near the Vic market. The best card I managed to get was a Dayne Beams (Lions) redemption card that has a piece of his guernsey and his signature they seem to go for about $300 on ebay. My kids now buy them but don't really "collect" them like I did as a kid - they don't care about completing sets or anything. Quote
poita 3,945 Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 I've been collecting Melbourne cards since the mid 1980s. Nothing ultra top end, but plenty of signature cards and the like. I find them a good souvenir of each season and of my favourite players. 1 Quote
