Burmese eat cats. Most construction workers in Bangkok come from that place. Got to keep an eye on your healthy looking pet cats . Koreans  Vietnamese and Isan/laos love dog meat. Its considered a delicacy.

Diffetent culture to the west. Do you still have dog pounds in Australia or are they closed down?

With respect, try telling that to the families and friends of ppl who couldn’t take it and did the unthinkable. Besides, a thick skin can’t just be magicked up outta nowhere. It’s innate so there’ll always be “thin-skinned” folks.

I meant to say that you can't control what others think or say about oneself. So really all you can do is to work on the things you can control.

We can't never please everyone.

I do remember that, PF. I was living in Footscray at the time and unfortunately had three cats go missing. I didn’t make it known since I didn’t wanna fuel the nasty rumours about them becoming dim sims. Turns out all three of them had found greener pastures in the form of a crazy cat lady who lived nearby. They were happy as a pig in [censored] with their 20+ “siblings.” 🤣

Cats are the only animals to domesticate themselves. Subsequently they are always looking for a better option.

They are the Tom Scully of the animal kingdom.

Yes, remember, we did have The White Australia Policy and I remember the vile prejudiced rubbish uttered about the first Chinese cafe opened in our are - Western Suburbs...

Cats, dim sims and the same old people looking to be offended. Agree this thread has run its course.

Same losers always ruining a good thread by going completely off topic.

On a topic related matter, I hope Sam can find his way out of this form slump and play relatively good footy.

Shut this thread down.

This thread should’ve been shut down when Sam left us. You know why it’s still active? So that the usual jerks can start conversations about a much maligned former player under the guise of *innocent observations knowing full well likeminded idiots will jump all over it and it’s “Let the bagging begin (yet again)!” How pathetic.

* Geez those Essendon supporters are really ripping into poor Sam, aren’t they…

Open season on Sam, y’all

But, but… where else can nasty bastards go to continue bagging Weids????

That’s all this is now. That’s all this has ever been. And unless Andy closes it down, that’s all it’s ever gonna be.

It’s no joking matter, Red. Not to ‘Daz’ anyways. He wants this thread to be about nothing but Sam and how terrible a footballer he is. Of course, he won’t say that straight up. But reading between the lines in his posts is cake. Subtlety evades the likes of him.

Not every aspiring footballer makes it to AFL level. Seems those who do but don’t set the world alight are fair game for those who don’t make it.

I think you are being unfair to Daz.

He is only saying that not everyone can become a regular AFL footballer and that it may not be the most important thing in his life anyway.

I wanted to play with the Doobie Brothers, my all time favourite group, but alas, I now strum away on my own or post on DL.

My god..

Why am I not bit surprised once again you've popped up and twisted the narrative to suit your own agenda.

First of all this is absolutely a horrible take by you because all my responses have been purely around my concern for his wellbeing. I've been pretty respectful with what I've wrote on here recently and genuinely think that he'll get more fulfilment in life other then footy.

Seriously, grow up and stop trying to look at every opportunity to get offended at every single comment that exists on a football forum.

If Reddit is anything to go by for these social media comments then it sounds like there's been spears from all directions for the young man.

At this point I couldn't give a rip about his football ability or who we took him ahead of in the draft, this kind of garbage is not on and mentally crippling for any young man. I just hope he's ok.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
