Thanks to all at Demonland, adds to my enjoyment of following the Demons!
Not necessarily good for my sanity!

But a side benefit is Following the Demons does build resilience!

I also want to add thanks to Andy, George and Binman, For the season but particularly your analysis after the Swans or Freo game, nailed our weaknesses in structure and players!!

Is that on a podcast or a post. I don't think I have heard / seen that And would be interested to.

It was in the podcast, just can’t recall whether it was after Freo or Swans game, but one the Cairns games.

Didn't wish to start a new thread so have bumped this.

It looks like Demonland software has had some tweaks:  symbols and ratings (x/6) for each avatar.  And the details for number of posts and number of community 'ticks' no longer appear in posts.  Not sure if some 'profiles' in posts have been abbreviated.

Is it possible to know meaning of the symbols/ratings and to get post/'ticks' details back?

While I'm on this thread, Thanks to all who manage 'Demonland' for a great job.

The ranks have always been there but in text form and just relate to the number of posts you have made.

The new software update has turned that text to a badge. I've added images to the default badge that the software applied and have tweaked and added to the names of each rank.

Rookie Demon: 0 - 49 posts

I'm not sure what has happened to the community ticks which was actually called reputation which was based on the Likes & Thanks reactions a poster received. I will check into it.

It would seem the mods and I have similar preferences in club logos.

I love that the 80's shield logo and the 70's cartoon logo are the highest rankings for posters besides Captain, Coach, Fuschia and Premier. They might bring back some bitter memories for some but the former is the logo that I first fell in love with!

FYI

I don't believe anyone has achieved the ranks of Captain, Coach, Fuschia or Premier.

Also ranks based on post count don't necessarily mean anything.

Truish. It does show how intrenched one is in the community and how committed they are to it. That being said, you could also write up 100K posts, and they could be all total bollocks. :jakovich:

Reputation can be found in a user's profile or by moving your mouse over their name when on a desktop.

Not sure why it's been removed from the place under the name and there doesn't appear to be a way to get this back in the settings.

There may be a third party app at some point that someone creates that will bring this back and I will keep an eye out for it.

I will see if banned posters can be labelled with it.?

And anyone who exclusively posts only after defeats should get the Mark Neeld Reality Bus icon.

1,000,000 posts to become a Premier ! Based on my current posting rate of 8,000 in 15 years....sadly, i will never be a Premier.

I'd love to be a fuchsia but only if you spell it properly!

LOL it took every fibre of my being to resist mentioning this, and I thought I bet Demonstone picks it up, and… here we are. ?

@DemonlandId like to see a thinking icon added to the emoji list for posts that just dont make sense or require a lot of thought to understand. You know the one with the hand on the chin and the raised eyebrow. Could be a bit of fun.

Not sure if easy to add or subtract these things....just a thought. :)

How about a quality over quantity badge?

Noting of course that i will never get that badge

Now that I've upset Andy by picking on his spelling,  I'm never going to be awarded that elusive Fuchsia badge.

In the immortal words of Johnny Rotten, "No fuchsia, no fuchsia, no fuchsia for me".

Anyone attaining “Premier” status would surely have to take stock of their life. One million posts?!
One would have to be at least 80yo and have done a grand total of exactly zero other things in their waking hours to rack up a million posts.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
