Not suggesting she join the Board.  You forgot the twins possibly also.

Her husband can give her a dig out with the twins i'm sure

We need people who know how to get the best out of this club. Is he that person? I think Yze is our next coach

I hope not...and nothing personal against Adem but if he is it will mean that Goody has failed.

...and I couldn't stand going through another rebuild with a novice coach because that's what it will mean.

I'm another that has followed him on Twitter and as others have said he doesn't come across as the most analytical of minds. Bit whiney, bit black and white for my liking.

Obviously has football credentials, but I want a bit more from potential board members...

Got the [censored] from 2 clubs as an assistant coach and doesn't come across well articulated on Twitter as well. In fact, he's said some things that makes you shake your head.

Good player Greeny, but putting him on the board level just because he is 'red and blue' would be a mistake imo.

Get the right and best experienced people around that will take this club forward, not backwards.

Only position I'd ever offer him is a goal kicking coach. That's it.

Not sure how I feel about this to be honest..

I am with you.  Our club needs a Graeme Richmond ruthless type.  Anyone out there that fits has that quality.  We have been a nice club for too long!

The Hawks at one stage had Brereton and Dunstall on their board.

Dermott was there for the fan vote, champion player but dumb as d s...

Dunstall on the other hand was and is a very smart operator. Dermott talks the game, Dunstall understands it.

It's a Dunstall type we need on the board.

Who is it?

Neita, surely

I don't.

I want the best people.

Couldn't care less where they're from.

Sometimes the best people are those who have a vested interest in the club, or those who can offer an alternate view. I never voted in board elections because I wouldn't know any of them from a bar of soap. I'm sure they're all very successful in their own professions but it doesn't hurt to have a footy person on the board as well even if they may not make it onto a corporate board.

I think that this decision reflects a lot of Demonland opinion that we want to see more Melbourne people Involved in the running of our club. Come on Greeny get on board, you are a great choice.!!!!!

He is a great choice  to become a board  member and one of my favourites when playing.  Hope he has the time to fill that position. He was an underrated footballer and IMO was hard done by when the captaincy was taken off him after one year and then Neeld sent him to an early retirement.. What a shambles. Neeld set us back a few years.

Anyone know of his credentials to be on the board?

hope we are not going for the old boys club vibe

I just want the very best people for the job.
PJ showed us that. Sentiment is not important in a Board Room

I have met Brad a couple of times, lovely guy but he didn’t come across as a shrewd businessman so i wonder whether this is a clever decision

Yeah, he's about a 6 or 7 on the Andrew Bogut scale.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front. They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
