Just looked our marking numbers this year. I know we are a game behind but our total marks for the year is the lowest.

 Not good.

With growing confidence from last week's performance, expect Demons to authoritatively take on Hawks.

Dees by five goals.

Jackson to surprise with 2 goals.

Weid to kick 3.

We will keep the Hawks to no more than six goals.

Yes, I'm probably partially drunk.  Maybe.

Goodwin just said in his pre-match interview that we're expecting Hawthorn to play faster today.

Let's hope he's right and they don't go the Geelong-style slow chip kick game.

Not sure of relevance. We're 13th for marks per game (higher than our opponent today).

Clarkson's MO is to let the 1st qtr unfold see what the op set ups are.  Move chess pieces around at qtr time.  Let 2nd qtr unfold.  Make more moves at half time.

Beware the coach that is not paying attention or is slow to react to Clarkson's moves.

All on our coaching box today.

I couldn't watch a Melbourne game only partially drunk.

$cully vs jog on the wing...that ain't gonna end well

Gus laziest one way runner in the side

You know how that goal came about?

Brayshaw went to sleep on the wing.  His player ran forward, got the ball and then had an eternity to hit Gunston on the chest.

Not good enough.

lol Oliver ffs.

Weiderman needed to clunk that. He looks like Jake Spencer sometimes in contests.

Never looked like it.

It's a shame as the effort from Pickett was terrific.

Oliver’s disposal by foot is atrocious at times.

What do you mean at times.

Oouff. Their pacing and spread is killing us.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
