Absolutely guaranteed to get a week after the Essendon player got a week. I know they're young, but this is just plain idiotic.

Understand but they will be suspending players all year if they are this strict.

The reason they're being strict is to appease the state governments. They want to show that they should be easily allowed to travel between states when they're still closed. If they keep breaching the rules and someone returns a positive test, some states won't allow teams to travel there.

No Kozzie tomorrow then.. there goes a lot of excitement for the game.

Would like to know what they did exactly, but I am about an  inch away from unleashing some references to '1984'.

Visited a friend apparently.

where does the afl get their intel........have they set up a gestapo or just rely in informers?

Tongue in cheek, the conspiracy theory goes like this:

Ed Bagwire was starting to worry about Melbourne FC winning against Carlscum on Saturday, particularly after The Filth only received two points from their drawn game against the Tigers. If the MFC win, the they will receive four points from that match against Carlscum. That would assist the Dees to end the season (at this point) ahead of The Filth. Comprehensively, by fair means or foul, Ed has decided to wield his influence with the AFL (granted to no other, by the way) as a means of reducing the Dees' chances of beating Carlscum.

Using his immense footballing intellect, Ed considered that Spargo and Pickett could be the Dees' main avenues to goal. He thus created the rumour for someone else to follow-up that the Covid19 restrictions had been breached by such potentially unstoppable young players in the Dees' lineup. He awaits the outcome. Meanwhile, he will set to work on other rival clubs in some manner equally as anonymous.

It has to be done. Given no social distancing at training or games is possible, all it takes is one positive test to shut down the entire competition.

Say Pickett gets infected by the friend he visited. He tests positive and therefore everyone at the club and the opposition side we played have to be tested and quarantine. That means two teams at a minimum are out of the competition for up to two weeks, which means virtually the entire AFL has to close for two weeks. It’s a disastrous situation and I agree with the AFL’s hard line.

Self reported apparently.

I am sure the Coach is in a good mood about it.

Most players are not Einsteins, unfortunately they are not even Pavlovian Dogs.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
