We're still just bombing it. Tactic or pressure?

Seems tactic unfortunately. Hopefully we see a change in game style this year to hit more short kicks leading into 50.

Apparently 10m kicks are only a mark if you're a crows player.

On TV it looks like kicks are traveling a lot further to crows end.

Sideways or goal to goal?

Our kicking skills need some work

Still playing like 2019. Bad kicking can’t get ground ball. And missing 2nd quarters.

That’s ok in Feb. as long as it is all Recorded

I really can’t see any change to our game. We still can’t kick and have no idea how to go inside 50.

Some seriously questionable umpiring decisions resulting in shots at goals for the Crows.

Maggots are back. Crow 8 metre kicks and marks “paid” in the first quarter. “Play on” for Dees in second quarter.

Goal to goal. We had the advantage in the first quarter, but characteristically kicked inaccurately for goal. Crows are now making the most of the wind advantage, and our kicking has been atrocious.

Only preseason, but there doesn't appear to be much change in game style visible yet. Was hoping for more accurate short kicking before pulling the trigger inside 50. I guess without a strong target up there it makes it hard. TMac has been unsighted and is our only proven big goal kicker. We need him to stay fit and stand up this year.

Pickett banana for his first goal! Brilliant!

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
