Brisbane amazingly wasteful in front of goals. 31 inside 50s

Rich 14 inside 50s for 8 scoring shots

Lions have the top 5 possession getters so far

The umpiring isn't helping their cause, but Brisbane are really kicking themselves out of this. They are absolutely dominating Richmond but kicking nothing but points.

New ball taken at Old Trafford......

In Malaysia.. China time so very good  for having a sports bonanza

32 degrees and I can hear the waves slowly crashing on the Straits of Malacca. Time for the first G and T of the evening

At least I'm getting some use from my Kayo subscription

Thx DJ.  No finals for us, howling winds, pissing down off and on all day and the filth / GWS circus both winning through.

Kayo is good though ?

Must say their continual bombing of the ball into the forward line in the first quarter reminded me of something

I think the premiers will come from this side of the draw. WC the only threat on the other side of the draw

You don't rate the Pies?

As is their inaccuracy

Are we ANY chance of getting Bolton now??

Brisbane 2 goals down , should be 3 in front. Costly

I personally don’t think so Rusty. It was reported a few days ago WCE have made a major play to lure him back home. Just what they need, more damaging small forwards.

The Tigers are a notch above the Lions with ball use & movement once the ball gets outside.  Pressure around the pill is also a tad more intense.

They structure up around the ball quicker and more effectively also.

If there is no clear chance of winning possession they bunt, wack, slap or kick the ball off the ground and keep it alive but always attempting to move it forward to gain ground and put opponent under further pressure.

Will take a major effort to beat in the GF.  They will be there me thinks.

No.. without  DeGoey I just don't see them kicking enough goals.

They were so much better last year with Cox as their focal point.

Can Pendlebury and Sidebottom play blinders again this year as well.

They can if you don't put (or have) decent run with options on them as Scott decided to do for the first half last night.

Speaking of which, what the hec was Scott thinking with a starting set up that had a wet rookie 9 gamer in Narkle starting in the middle against such a solid mid field opponent?  Crazy $hiiit!

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
