Wasn't having a go Sue @McQueen @Bobby McKenzie @Ethan Tremblay can all tell you how bad the media are over here. They never say anything against the Eagles

The West Australian and Channel 7 WA are absolute cheerleaders and the continued worship for Cousins, Kerr etc is an embarrassment

Absolutely. You can add Mainwaring to those names as well.

Happy to say I got the Liam Ryan call wrong, never thought he'd put the hard yards in to play consistent footy at this level

Credit to him and the hardwork put in by Phil Narkle and Ryan

Best half he has played. Good time to do it

I know this may sound stupid but I never actually realised how good Nic Nat's ruck work is. His leap is brilliant and they look so much better when he is in the centre taking the ruck contest. I still think he doesn't do enough around the ground and could be more dominant.

Hopefully west coast put there foot down this quarter and kick away. Smsh them and don't let essenscum back in it.

He pushed the boundaries in the off season and I thought there was another Sampi coming but after blowing off some steam he got right back into it, with some strong guidance

One reason why we should never let Nev Jetta leave the club

Yes how ridiculous they used to have a charity match in honour of him. I'll leave it there because he has passed but a tainted man in many ways

Yep, nothing against him, more a dig at the media.

Shiel’s kicking has let him down tonight however his run and carry would be very handy.

Some serious beast mode by Nic Nat tonight.

Yep and remember Chad Fletcher basically flat lining I think in Vegas. That was swept under the carpet to. Sadly I fear Cousins will head one way to.

Anyway 1 more quarter and hopefully we see the bummers out. Stringer I know is an easy target but when he just stood there and waited for the ball to come to him instead of going for the mark in the goal square was funny.

That Flat lining was incredible. It would have been 5 x the story if It had not been in Perth

EssUndone are the ones flat lining tonight.

Merrett and Parish being show up for the soft players they are.

Bombers team has talent but no strength/leadership to stand up in finals.

The worst recent record in finals of all teams

suck on that bombers fans

Will The Pharmacist get shafted in favor of Golden Boy?

If Shiel shot an arrow in the air he'd miss

You do wonder whether the Chemist will make it through Summer.

The Essendonian Masonic Lodge is getting restless

Well tonight all is well with the world. The bummers got kicked out of the finals, bomberblitz is in melt down with there fans angry and blaming woosha and now I don't have to hear about them this September.

Have a nice flight home bummers players and the supporters.

My money’s on him coming west and coaching Fremantle or if Longmuir gets the job, some other role at Fremantle. He’s done at Essendon. I believe his wife and kids have already moved back here.

He is originally from East Fremantle i think, so it would make sense

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
