I'm not surprised Jane. As I posted earlier, given the way he landed, and the mass of the man, I reckoned there was zero possibility of him playing this week . Just hope it's not even worse than anyone's letting on.

Chin up BBO it’s not like we’ve had many Dees players with foot issues or been mismanaged with other injuries...

My source tells me that Max’s ankle is extremely swollen and his toes are black and blue. I have no idea how he is standing upright let alone be considered fit to play.

He'd play if they were red and blue.

Slacker.

So he is fit to play by MFC standards!

Probably pull out just before the game.

A very curious question. What is your intent behind asking that?

I'm just curious no intent behind it, I follow the club closely and I don't really see what people want.

so we can get an informed idea who is playing, how injuries are,etc

As much as we wish for it, clubs are never going to be honest when it comes to injuries, whose out etc. The whole ins & outs of AFL clubs & the AFL in general is a complete different world. No one on the outside has any idea what goes on inside the 18 clubs.

Because we are members and supporters and therefore the most important stakeholders in the club.

Never asked why, I asked what is it the club isn't communicating to us ?

Nah, Redleg!  It's the MFC!  He'll be named in the team, hobble around for the 1st 5 minutes of the game, and then be done for the day...!!

Yep, what was I thinking?

Goodwin told me at Casey that they will see how Max pulls up tomorrow before making a decision. Based on his body language don’t expect the big guy to play. Even if he does Preuss for Smith is like for like and if anything we’re better with Preuss.  Happy Dunkley is in as we need to see what he can do. Baker was the obvious drop although I think Gus must be very close to being dropped. No Cripps, Mackay and Curnow is the equivalent of no Gawn.  Lever in for Petty next week regardless of how Petty plays

So given max won't play and Preuss is in who was the other emergency held over for tomorrow. Jones may also be in some doubt

C Wagner is my guess

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
