You don't see his upside ? It is your opinion

In the meantime look for something that will interest you apart from being a frustrated Melbourne supporter.

Have you ever had anything good to say about  ANB ?  Chew them up spit them out type supporter,  they are around.

No, I've never said I would delist him or similar.

But as a 'limited' role player, I don't see him playing it at a consistently high level. And he certainly hasn't improved year upon year from the day he was recruited has he?

He needs to stop making so many ball use errors, stop fumbling and start impacting at the contest. Only then will we see some consistency in performance and from there we would be able to talk about 'upside'.

we have Maynard, Stretch, ANB and JKH all coming up for renewal.

Cannot delist them all.. which do you keep and more particularly how long an extension do you offer.

As earlier posted re the Kent situation another club may offer them a longer term.

Keep ANB (2 years) and Stretch (1 year).

He was ok before the injury/bye, but he was poor today. So many chains of possession broke down due to an ANB missed handball or similar.

He is depth, and given the year he has had, surely a 1 year extension would be fair.

How he got a call up from Casey after his ordinary 14 disposal game is just bizarre.. The likes of Dunkley, Wagner and even JKH were far more dominant and influence the game much great then Neal Bullen..

Rewarding mediocrity performance.. it's gotta stop.

Other get moved on before ANB. Showed he can be of value when in form, clearly no in form at the moment and so is on the fringe. Some like JKH, have shown less

A very solid foot soldier plays team first footy and if he can overcome this attack of the fumbles can be very damaging up forward. Very happy to keep him at the Dee's................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has had 5 years to get over his fumbles.  How many chances does someone get?

Bottom 3 player yesterday and most of the year which is why he was dropped some time back.  Just not good enough.   Very little upside.  Depth at best.

Agree, Lockhart has already passed him in my eyes. More cleaner around the footy and doesn't fumble at all.

I'd rather his mate Billy Stretch in the side then him.

I agree with you Dazzle. Why do you think the Club is looking to sign him?

No he wasn’t. Bottom 3 was quite clearly Hannan, Wagner and Petty.

Nice one Alex.  you played 24 games last year and helped us get to a prelim off your hard work.

when we were at our best last year, this bloke was running around like an animal putting on pressure and tackling and spreading.  a limited player but a good one to have on your list.

hopefully you don't listen to the supporters opinions. stay confident and get back to form soon

Massively underrated for what he does really well, too many on here (as they always do) highlight a players limitations rather than look at what he brings to the team. No one else in the forward line chases, tackles, pressures as well as what ANB does, even his manic running to man the mark is a massive plus. When you've got a team with such a dominance in clearances who do sometimes bomb it into the forward line you need to lock it in as much as possible or if the opposition get it slow their movement out of the back 50. While he might not be as clean as some other small forwards, he does that better than just about anyone in the comp (when fully fit).

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
