You will have to excuse me for not being on social media....

But Im glad someone has run with it..... I bet none of the gutless yes men in the media say anything

For a so called professional sport its an absolute joke.... The AFL are a joke..

Ablett's hit was deliberate, unnecessary, to the head and with raised arms. One week minimum.

Soldo was responding to an aggressive movement to block him while play was stopped. One week laughable.

Gilo and Chriso should both go now to save further embarrassment. Shocking Hocking too.

2,437 posts probably says you are...

Wallace basically said in his 40 years of football it's always been about who you are, so he has called it out.

Your first problem is to believe that the business called ‘football’ has to be fair.  This would preclude maximising profit.

Fair call.

The irony of Hocking lamenting the booing of Ablett is ripe to almost off. By not suspending him they’re effectively elevating him above everyone else and putting a target on his back for opposition supporters.

Classic AFL.

Ivan who? Laugh?... I couldn't start.

Damien Barrett is often annoying but to his credit has always been solid on the need for consistency in umpiring and tribunal and that the first focus should be protecting the players. Even so, it was a mild surprise to see this on the afl website, part of his (often annoying) "If... Then" weekly article. Conveniently the clubs were in alphabetical order for this point...fyfe.PNG.9b9546a4e654f98ee0cbd1f04f4eb095.PNG

I am amazed there is not more uproar about this.

A guy climbing a post got more air time than clear bias and different rules for different players.

I know this crap has been happening for years but in the era of the over analysis and endless whining im amazed no one cares about the  fairness and integrity of the game.

Are we all in with AFL or we just don't care?

"afl fairness" is that an oxymoron like "army intelligence" or "afl integrity"?

That was my point....

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
