Not a snowflakes chance in hell we will make finals this year.

I do believe we will next year if we recruit well and get rid of around 6 to nine players.

Too many losses and injuries under the bridge.

We will refine our plan and list. Reset with the talent we have and its quite a lot.

Hopefully pick up a star ff .

I reckon more like 1999, of an amazing 1998 making a prelim 1999 we won 6 games, injuries and a changing of the guard with a few old blokes coming to an end.  12 months later we played of in a grand final.

I'm not sure if that means Oliver will win the Brownlow in 2020 or Brayshaw with a bleached mop ?

Our percentage reminds me of 1997..... I shudder at the memories of 1997. Honestly we are not playing finals this season, our percentage is diabolical.

It's remarkable that after such a poor start to the season we're one game off 9th ...

... and percentage. That's the big worry.

I think we're a really good chance to win the next couple and then things suddenly look a lot different going into the Pies game, but I don't see us beating the Crows by 90 odd as we did last year

Chunk?

So long as Maxy doesn't have a Jimmy moment and run over/though the mark.

My old man recons we would have beaten Carlton in the GF.

I'm in favor of '87 with at twist' !!

Pretty hard to believe we made the finals that year considering we lost to a horrid St Kilda by 46 point in round 17 at Moorabbin to take us to a struggling 7-10.

Does anybody remember that game? I'm guessing those that went would have gone home dejected and wondering if we'd ever make finals again in their life time.

We had an easy MCG kill against the Bears the following week and never looked back until the prelim.

If we're 5-7 after Collingwood, then I think another 1987 could be on the cards for sure.

Yes, if we get to 5-7 , I did the ladder predictor, and we finished 6th. Fingers crossed.

I did the ladder predictor and had us finishing 10th at the end of the season.

In my generous predictions we finished 12 wins -10 losses.

12-10 could get let you finish 7th or 8th... if your percentage is worthy. Our percentage is horrible and will prevent us playing finals even if we string wins together. We’d have to roll teams like Pies and Eagles on top of winning all the other “easier” matches.

It’s not our year unfortunately.

Your old man is dead set kidding himself. We'd have struggled to field a competitive side in the gf. Flower, Wilson & Dean are just a few of those who'd have struggled to come up. That PF against the Hawks was brutal

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
