Zac Williams has done a hammy for GWS.

Mumford very crass late takle (/knee/swinging arm) has ended Murphy's day (suspect broken ribs or something)

He should get 1 week if not 2

And Mummy could be suspended for a hit on Murphy. Even if it's judged as accidental Murphy has gone to hospital so you think Mummy's in strife.

In an incident that is likely to draw the attention of Match Review Officer Michael Christian, the right knee of the Giants' ruckman made forceful contact with Murphy's rib region.

Bolton has to be finished now

4 years for zero improvement

Not that i am complaining...

This belting actually helps us. Giants have had a training run and will be in for a big shock against a good contested side.

Hope so. I was thinking the same thing

Anyone understand why Carlton would have to wear white against GWS?  How on earth would Navy Blue (with white shorts) clash with the GWS colours?  Defies logic.  Yeah.  I know.  It's the AFL.  Nuff said...!

FC even in the black and white TV era one could tell the difference between North Melbourne and Colonwood on a wet muddy day!

This clash jumper stuff is all about AFL marketing (as is just about everything else AFL).

Christian:  "Mmmmm.  Mumford.  Looked bad, but who are GW$$$ playing next week?"

Marketing team: "Melbourne"

Christian: "Mmmm.  He does have a record, doesn't he, so we will have to appear to do something.  Mmmm.  I know, a suspended sentence.  Haven't tried that lurk for a while"

Mumford should be retired, suspended or both permanently before he kills someone.

Shane Mumford's answer to a question about his big hit on Cats midfielder Mitch Duncan in 2016 after he retired from the Swans.

"I got Kieren Jack with a ripper years ago when I was playing with Geelong, back in the days when you could run through people and not worry about getting suspended. He didn't see me coming and I left him on the ground coughing and wheezing, and that was probably a better one."

This is his thought process and I don't think he has changed at all. He should have stayed retired. He is a blight on the game.

If Mumford plays then we play Preuss and let them go toe to toe...

My money would be on Preuss.

Same as asking why we wore our red-backed jumper on Friday night. We played West Coast in Perth twice last year and wore our normal jumper with white shorts both times. There's no clash at all between their royal blue/yellow and our navy blue.

Absolutely!  But that was a couple of nights ago, and I've slept since then!  LOL

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
