They’re not training this week so they don’t have to watch replays or talk about what happened last time they played.

I was taking the [censored]. I’m amazed that people actually believe we haven’t analysed that game endlessly.

As @Ethan Tremblay wrote in another thread Goodwin has played this perfectly do one thing and tell the media another when it is to the benefit of the club

They trained ball movement, tackling, spiking, running, handballing and kicking drills

Jake Lever bouncing around,  ready to go

Steven May did 2hrs of work with Croosy

Thanks for the report and photos Saty.  What is your sense of the vibe?  And were they doing anything about forward connection and craft?

Love child of Paul Roos and Daniel Cross?

PS: Love your work, Saty. Particularly the photo of Lever training without knee strapping. I believe (with no evidence) that strapping is probably physically useless for rehabbing ACLs and therefore more a sign of psychological fear. I think no strapping suggests a high level of confidence in his recovery. At least, I hope so.

Probably

Lever was flying for marks, tackling, twisting and turning, as I said bouncing around whole session with a big smile

The vibe is always up

Goodwin not a believer in wallowing

They practice the connection constantly, it will get there

Thanks Saty greatly appreciated, what is hampering the Weid?

How is Joel Smith tracking? Looks to be running OK in the pic above.

Seeing Jake running and about to play at long last around would surely add a spring  and extra heart beats to all the Group.

Just the thought of him, Mitch Hannan and JKH ready (rven allowing for the dreadfully unlucky Hibbo and Milkshake ) should out real purpose in the minds of the group,

Of course that has to be followed up by a steely resolve and positive outlook to take on the game and combine effectively in scoring.

Remember Robbo's game in 1998 when we started long odds off about a 100 pt thrashing from the Cats and he kicked 7 Goals I think we need Tommy Mac to do the same as he did in 2017 to get us over the line.

Go Dees and good luck Jake L plus Mitch and JKH in their comebacks.

Guys  we need you !

Joel has the dreaded OP, train, see if pain returns, if not, ramp up training, etc etc  spoke to him yesterday, he was ok

JKH and Hannan expect a run in VFL next week

I got absolutely nothing, so didn't push it

Crossy pushes the rehab guys hard, at the end of the session, May got to do repeat 100's with Crossy and Bernie Vince (who is still in great nick) pacing him, and increasing speed each time, did about 7 or 8

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
