I have two in particular:

EF: Neville Jetta's game on Dangerwood - pulled his pants down

SF: Gunston hitting the post running into goal. We kick out and take it down our end for a goal with BT's commentary, "can't believe it, can't believe it, can't believe it, can not believe it"

Look on Clarkson's face. So happy to eliminate that filth

Only other one that has come close to challenging that ones already posted in this thread would be Dom Sheed, just under 2 minutes to go in the GF.

The look on the crowd's face will never get old.

Great idea!

EF start of the third or last qtr I think when Viney hip and shoulders Selwood to his [censored] and gives away a free. Selwood then tries to play on and gets caught by Jack with his 57th tackle for the game and wins the ball back.

This is what I came to add. In my mind though, Viney actually dropped his mouthguard and STILL managed to pick it up and catch Selwood in time. Did I completely make this up?! Either way, awesome moment.

The highlights didn't have the initial free kick but here is the rest which resulted in Jonesy's goal.

Not sure what the delay was but you are correct, Viney was distracted and was still able to react quickly enough to Selwood trying to take advantage of that.

The Jones sealer. Thanks for posting the vision.

Who needs to run when you can steal the ball, duck and weave in the middle of a pack, spot a loose man in the best position and deliver by hand perfectly.

That is the magic of Tracca. Get to where the ball is, win the contest, make good decisions and deliver.

There were so many, particularly in our two winning finals.

As a spectator at the ground, the most spine tingling and exhilarating play (when I caught a glimpse of footy heaven), was the Hannan run from the wing to goal. And re-watching it with BT's commentary wasn't bad either.

Brian Taylor? As in the worst commentator in the games history Brian Taylor?

Get youself a good pair of headphones, and listen to the Gerard Whately version, and never punish yourself with the Taylor insult ever again

Also works with this alternate footage of a Dees fan watching the goal.

Ever since Melbourne took BT outback at the Alice game, he has been very biased towards the Demons. Thats my impression.

Viney run down and “spooking” a rampant Gunston.

Resultant Coast to coast team goal - Melk, Spargo to ANB.

Two goal turnaround.

Used to happen TO us.

Super effort. I missed that goal live as the Crows getting within 7 or 8 points late in the game was enough for me to go and walk around the block until siren time.

If the training threads weren’t enough to whet the appetite, this thread certainly will.

Lewis, Vince and Goodys celebrations said it all, was a huge moment in our season.

Rd 19, 7th on the ladder, coming off that devastating loss in Geelong. Adelaide on a roll winning 4 of the last 5 games and this 1 crucial for their chances at finals.

In love with Daisy, like the rest of us. But even with BT on the Dee train I still can't stand his call.

The only thing that could have been better is Viney playing on and getting past Selwood. And yes he did throw his head back on the ground.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
