Well Done for mine, super impressed at how the club has managed the media and made itself available. They have absolutely harnessed everything positive about the finals campaign, am still working my way through the videos (love seeing shots of happy fans). I haven't seen it as drinking bathwater or any of the similar tall poppy type comments, but allowing everyone to enjoy the positives of the journey. I also think Goodwin has really given of himself which must be pretty tough, but he has demonstrated allot of nouse, he kept a lid on it for the season but has shown the insight to make himself available and tune into the vibe going on around the club. He has built a team of hockey players not downhill skiers for mine, they have demonstrated courage all year and am super proud of the club. Win, lose or draw on Saturday very happy with how the club is travelling.

It's a good strategy long-term too, given the club (and us supporters) expect to be regular finalists in the next few years. It will just part of the routine and nothing too scary.

Here here,

wote to the club about my 4 and 2 year old and how they are into it (while surrounded by rugby nuts). I got a bunch of stickers, posters and badges and a signed photo with a message  of Petracca and Gawny. Great for some overseas fans. They were so good about it and made my boys week.

The access to the players and the level headedness of that club has been great.

Go dees, give em hell this weekend

They've also done a great job and been extremely helpful with ticketing issues and questions.

Everything has been very clear, and well organised.

Yes been super impressed with the September vibe so far.

Just hope the players are absolutely tuned in at the first bounce tomorrow. We need a strong start to silence the Perth swill

Timely post dd. Well done.

Importantly your reflections were absolutely supported over last 3 weeks by key media stakeholders publicly such as robbo caro hutchy and bt.

It helps having the best product around such as marketable articulate polite and humble young players and leaders. Oliver s interview with roaming brian last friday after hawks win was one for the ages. That kid is all class. Along with weideman finishing his interview with a "...thank you very much brian ..."

Have not put a foot wrong this finals series. Social media has had plenty of great content and we haven't been left in the dark about issues that have arisen. Spot on.

Was almost about the echo these thoughts. Then I watched Simon's Selection video and the graphic comes up with the details for last weeks game during the video. Was watching the video and thought Goodwin could have given at least something on the reasoning behind the change (and yes I realise its obvious but would still like to hear it from the coach).

Other than this, great work and enjoying all the content.

It’s been excellent and has been a great way for fans to live through the kid in Brissie, the old lady from the coast, and Jon and his mum - as they impact the players and the club.

I love the videos they put out after the first two finals combining fan-made footage from the crowd with key moments in the games. Top shelf editing and a great understanding of the fan perspective.

And with the mfc reps handing out signed thank you cards and vouchers to the travelling demon army at the Perth airport, it shows how well the club is functioning and thinking of its fans at all levels

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
